PoweredByMAX Flex Cobra
Circuit Sports "Loch Ness Monster" (flat pipe) I don't have pictures, but they shouldn't be too hard to find on Google.

You're gonna hafta drop good money for something like that. Unless you get the CXRacing dual-tube downpipe.

I had a JVT one and I liked it.
Had a flex pipe and didn't scrape. http://www.phase2motortrend.com/jvt3fldosr.html

D-max Cobra Max or Circuit Sports Oval Down pipe.
A friend of mine also picked up a oval one from a brand called Moonface. Kinda pricey @ $400 thou. Sometimes that the way goes to get what you want. |

Thanks for all the help guys.
I was really hoping for comparisons from people actually running a specific downpipe, so i could see if a circuit sport ( or whatever) cleared higher than a cx (or whatever) etc.. So if anyone is running an aftermarket dp, post up a picture and tell us what it is. thanks. Mike |

The ISIS downpipe when paired with the ISIS elbow sits level with or above the frame rail. Ive seen pics but Im too lazy to search, just trust me. I have the ISIS elbow and a Megan DP and it hangs stupid low. So Im definately spending the 100 bucks on the cheap ISIS downpipe soon.

flex setions are mainly for relieving stress on turbo nuts. no for scraping. SRs and CAs are notorious for the nuts backing out on the turbo. with a solid pipe engine torquing under load will put stress on them. without a flex just make sure you secure the downpipe properly to the transmission. transferring stress to a less important section of your exhaust. and youll be fine. use some locking nuts with white hi temp thread lock too. solved all my problems when i had my ca. id get the ISIS. their quality is great for the price. the oval downpipes are great. ive got a split dp for my rb25. splits into to small pipes between the flanges which makes mine even with the frame rail.

Make your own or stop driving over reflectors... jk, I think personally it would be in your best interest to just save up a little more and get the piece with great quality that you know will fit well and give you the clearance you need.

I love zilvia. when someone asks what they should get, 9 times out of 10 they say get the most expensive part there is. and thats the only way to go. (not directed at anyone) just a generalization. just think logical. he gave a budget of 200 bucks. and thats PLENTY for a downpipe holy crap. if it works, you get your moneys worth, and did i say it works.. get it. if something that is cheaper than pbm or cusco works just fine for someone else, why would you blow the extra money. that shit doesnt grow on trees haha. put the extra cash toward feeding you and/or your family.

I know Zilvia's own Blu808/Luke was constructing a downpipe with this exact 'need' in mind...maybe PM him to see if ever completed it? Always support 'local/zilvia/240sx' guys when you can
