Help: Bogging, Low Idle, and Loss in power
I was coming home from school when my car started bogging and shaking a lot. My usual idle is around 800, but now it dropped to like 500 or so. I was able to drive home from school still which was about 20 min away. Also, when i gas the car there is a hesitation in acceleration, but was still able to reach 4k. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what would cause my car to do this. Thank You!
its a 1990 240sx ka24e btw. |

Check your plugs and see if one of them is either covered in fuel or completely dry

You can always try cleaning your maf? I had a similar problem once turned out my MAF wanted to just stop working. Lol.. maybe adjust the dizzy, but I don't think its the source of the problem but could be a fix? Iono.. I wouldn't adjust the dizzy unless you know what your doing though.

Similar problem. The maf wiring was rubbed around the intake area. Rubbed area came exposed. Suggest u repair the maf harness. Also it can be stretched due to alot of tension.

first check the ecu for codes, that can set you off in the right direction. Sometimes it could be a loose engine harness ground near the top front cover by the upperintake manifold.
