im trying to replace the engine bay portion of my body harness due to the previous owner cutting this one up. i disconnected a pulled out the damaged harness then replaced it w/ the good harness only to find it doesnt match up. the new harness stops at inside of the passenger side engine bay at what i believe is the windshield wipers. but my previous harness had one more plug that plugged into some box under the dash on the passenger side. does any1 know what that connection is? the guy i got the harness from says his car is a base model and he thinks its for cruise control. my car is a 89 coupe if that helps...thank, this electrical crap is killin me

Did you bother to look at what the box is and decide what it is before asking? They write shit on them for a reason.

Yes, the ASCD control unit and the ATC unit are found on the passenger side by the ECU, if you don't have either option don't worry about it. If you do, the harness you bought is useless.

your right i am a dumbass for not finding a flashlight to see if the box had writing on. thanks for answering anyway....so since i dont use either of those options is it okay to use this harness, or will it jus not be able to work with those not plugged in?

It's fine. You'll have extra plugs, nothing new.
