For the people! A 3x52mm 3d printable center vent guage pod STL file Enjoy!
Thought I would share this with ya folks I quickly made this 3x52mm center guage pod up in sketchup as a first time project and it turned out quite decently, help yourself print one out and let me know how it goes ! mantis_toboggon.md on IG for more pics of my 1990 twotone s13 silvia rb25det swap (no pressure just throwing it out there ! ). Heading out for a season of work soon and taking my silvia with me but no computer I work 16 hours a day 6-7 days a week so even if i did have one it wouldnt get used :P so I wont be able to make any revisions or changes to the Guages at this time, Hope ya folks enjoy ! Its a friction fit and the caps are included in the files on thingiverse. All I ask is for a thanks if it works and that no one sells them. I cannot really control what you do but I figure share the love, make a few bring em to car meets if that's your thing pass em out to other 240sx s13 drivers ,just toss a bit of credit to old Mantis BTW long time lurker of zilvia , first post I thought I would make it a decent one. Take care folks , Hope everyone has an awesome spring-summer-fall! Also , a reminder to block of your center heater vent with some foil tape like I did in the attached picture. PLA likes to warp under direct constant heat, I don't think its quite hot enough to warp it but its better safe than sorry. Edit: Hey folks just a heads up, after a few days in the hot sun the PLA warped, if you do print one, USE ABS , PETG , or possibly Nylon, PLA WILL warp in the sun. This was my first experiment with this type of thing so lesson learned ! Last edited by BackslitQuaker; 04-27-2018 at 01:24 PM.. Reason: Ease of finding it. Warning not to print in PLA plastic |

I changed it to something a bit better, I am not the best salesman hahahah. Thanks for the tip ! and thanks hope you or someone gets use from it, I will upload the object file so people can possibly make changes to it if they wanted , I made it super tight so it would stay in place without fasteners.

That's fantastic! I am working on a few bit for the S13 too with my new printer!
I am using tinkercad and dipping my toe into Blender next.

TY Mr Moderator !! and I am definitely looking forward to seeing what you make up 5280VertDET and best of luck ! , This one project I started has sparked my imagination and I will definitely be playing with different styles and such.
I only wish I had more immediate free time, looking at picking up a new laptop so I may try to create some things when I have some rare free time this summer while im away from home, sadly I wont have my 3dprinter with me to test the creations . Working on wiring up a consult plug to my ecu so I can hook up my PLMS cable for data streaming and to go along with a Nistune ECU down the road. I will try to possibly make a little guide on doing so(never really made one before so it would be good practice). My RB25det 1990 s13 Silvia came with a ca18 from factory and they do not have the consult cable like the sr20 or certain US 240sx. |

You're welcome ! , I am using mine and loving it so far, feels like it was meant to be there.
Just finished wiring in my consult plug to the ecu and used my new PLMS dev usb for a successful connection to the super old laptop I managed to score of someone for free, getting full data streaming and engine codes, shes happy! I may just have enough time before I leave for work to do a guide on it with pics and such. Dont forget to tape off the vent behind the guages with some foil tape to prevent any warping and hot air blasting on your guages. |
