Yea it looks dumb with that red thing sticking out like that. Plus those rims don't help either. LOOKS like ass. Other than that, his car is pretty fresh.

Ask you friend one question for me. Ask him, have you ever used that tow hook for any reason besides aesthetics. Also, ask him if he has ever used that little chrome APC fire extinguisher? Actually, forget the fire extinguisher question. Its a FD, those rotaries are ticking timebombs.

Wait. Since when is it ricey to have a fire extinguisher? Anyone been in a car fire? It sucks.

Now next order of business...
WTF is with calling some thie 'drift' or not?
Is the word drift evolving to encompass everything that is remniscent of what driftar morons do to their cars?
Shit on tow hooks is drift?
BRACELETS? This one just confuses me...

I'm just curious...

I'm just going to stick with stupid interior mod's and stuffed animal collections.

omg why do people change to non popups on a pop up car . I agree the front tow hook is ugly, like a big red pimple on your face. The rear tow hooks however look kool to me though.

Looks fine to me, but most circuit regulations require you to put a red arrow pointing toward the tow hook(s).

^^+1

That car could've been built much better, IMO. If Scott is happy with it, then more power to him. But personally, it's ugly.

Fire extinguishers are definatly not rice, and a very very good thing to have on any car. Placing them on the A piller is retarded tho and I have always considered that rice as well as getting the apc chrome ones. They can be just as easily acessed behind the front seats mounted to the cage or to the floor, just somewhere fairly close to the drivers seat. Even in a full bucket its just as fast to pop the harness, twist and reach into the back seat as it is to reach across to the passenger A piller.

Yes. I know. I have a fire extinguisher in my vehicle.
30$ APC = No
7$ Kidde = Yes

On a side offtopic note.
Is that seriously your chosen handle or is it a joke?

It's supposed to be "securely fastened" in reach of the driver without unbuckling the harness. I'm not sure where you would mount it on your back seat though. Roll bar's make great location's for mounting extinguishers for most folks. There's nothing ricey about safety, but there are ricey safety devices like the $50 apc chrome extinguisher. My friend has one in his car he bought a few hours after he had just put out an engine fire in his car and had used up his last one. I bust his balls about it, but it was all they had in stock and I don't blame him for buying it.

Not on the seat itself, most people I know that have cars equiped with extingushers no longer have back seats. My arms are long enough to reach the center of the floor where the seat used to be, with the harness unclipped. I personally would rather unclip than have it up front but thats all personal preference, the events I drive in dont have rules regarding the use or placement that i have to comply with.

I'm glad to see the response this has gotten. I have a Honda as my daily driver, and it irks me when people automatically assume that because that it's a Honda, it's rice. I don't see how he could say "look at this rice" and then post a pic of a Type R.

One of my old cars was lowered and had a body kit on it, and when I had to get it towed once, I really wish I would've had one of those hooks on it.

Fire extinguishers is not ricey when you are running after market fuel pumps, FPRs, injectors, have relocated batteries, turbo manifolds that heat up to 1300 F etc etc..ricey is some guys on zylvia putting 18 by 10 wheels on their cars and body kist and their car is running a KA24DE with 140 HP at the wheels with an intake an axleback..there are a lot of guys on here that pose like it is out of control

i never said you called poeple out by name. you seemed to generalized everybody under the "body kit stock KA with 18x10" rice. and to my knowledge those are the names that came to mind and one of them is a good friend

what i DID do was pulled names out from people i do know whom has a stock ka [or some did] with your definition of "rice" and asked you if you do consider those people rice

everyone has their own definition of what they think rice is..thats called opinion...this thread was about tow hooks being ricey...well my argument with that was they are required at drift events so how can they be ricey..thne someone said fire extinguishers were ricey, I said they were not and explained why you should have one, then I gave my idea of what rice was..and youjumped on me saying i was talking shit about people...I wasnt...why didnt you jump on the guy saying fire extinguishers were rice and name cars with fire extinguishers..i am entitled to my opinion, this is a public forum..some guys like big wings, I think they are ricey..one of my best frinds over with an S13 with 400 Hp has one and I tell him everyday it is ricey..I say shit like "hey man the airport is that way" or, you can't taxi around my neighborhood..its all opinons..its all good
late
