Turbo Help.

As I posted before, I'm fairly new to the turbo stuff, but I need some advice or guidance. I'm going to assume the turbo I have is bad and I want to replace it. I don't want anything too expensive since I have a child on the way, I'd never hear the end of it from my wife!

I have a 93 s13 coupe SR20DET the turbo installed is an HKS GT2835r, I don't know if it matters but the "AR" I believe is 0.80 as staked on the side?

Any ideas? && thank you all so much for the help!

The Garrett GT28R is basicly a HKS GT2510 or HKSGT2530.

The HKS GT2835 is kind of unique though, because HKS uses a shaved down (T3?) turbine wheel in a modified T25 turbine housing. It's closest Garrett cousin is the GT2871R which has a similar compressor but the same old stock t25 turbine wheel.

Sometimes people say GT25R or GT28R without really being specific as to which garret turbo they are refering to, because there are really GT25 and GT28 families that include a range of different turbos with different power capabilites.

Got that from a much older post:

So if this is in fact true then you could switch up to a GT30 series from Garrett good for about 25 PSI maybe a little more or a GT35 if you dont mind some lag.
