Exclamation Harness newbie... help?

I ripped out the main harness in an s13 shell I'm building as a streetable track car. I'd like to delete some plugs and wires for things I don't need (A/C, rear window defroster, stereo, etc.) but what I'm beginning to notice is that there's ALWAYS like one wire that runs to something essential. (A/C has 1 to run to my EFI, etc.) I don't know enough to know if I can delete these (presumably not, if my logic stands correct), but how can I get around this? I realize it's a big task for someone with no auto electrical experience, but that's half the reason I picked this project up was to learn.

i would do alot of research before you start cutting.

your correct most all the systems are inter-connected so that makes it tricky

an idea is put it back together, while the car is running unplug said connectors, if it keeps running then you dont need that sucker.

Question

Unfortunately, the car has no motor. I bought a rolling shell w/ no front end or motor, the only thing intact were suspension and brakes and the main harness.

At the moment, I'm going through and labeling all plugs and wires to the plugs with where they lead or come from.

My logic as it stands is that I'll delete entire systems (defogger, etc.) and then lets say it runs to an illumination plug, I'll just remove the one pin from that plug that runs to the defogger switch. It makes sense to me, at least.

Does this seem legit? I know cars can run just fine without minor plugs like that (airbag, etc.) If anything, I think it'll just flag a warning light or something of the like. I can't see a car not running because of it.

thoughts?
