PRODUCT INTEREST THREAD!! Spyder Automotive S13 Brick Headlight Rep!! MVP Motorsports

As many have seen/posted in we recently put up a thread for the Spyder brand Lights for S14's. There have been a few inquiries and posts about the possibility of a S13 Brick aftermarket option and Spyder is more than happy to jump on board given that there is enough interest. They can't say an exact price point but they said they would be very affordable if the project was to move forward.

Post up if you would be down for a set and be sure to share with your friends so we can make this product a reality!!

id be very interested if they can fix the light direction and create proper light channel patterns in the glass instead of the perfectly clear glass!

To be quite honest, I don't think that this is a question that needs to be asked. As long as the quality is reasonably good (OEM/OEM Replacement) and the price is right, I don't see why there would ever be an issue selling these.

With that being said, assuming the quality is there and the price is right* - I'd be in.

(*The price would need to be either the same as a set of OEM bricks in 'good' condition if the quality is spot on, or cheaper if they're of slightly lesser quality.)

They requested I post this thread up so they can present it to management to show that the demand is there for this product to be put into production.

Id venture to say that people would be all over this. I still get calls for bricks, even though they have been discontinued for years.

im lighting obsessed...

if they set the headlights for LHD lighting pattern id DEFINITELY be down for a set

That being said.... MOST "spyder" aftermarket headlights go for around 200-300... i wouldnt expect them to price gouge for a set of knockoff brick headlights.. and they better have damn good optics, or its not even worth making.

They would be plastic I'm assuming.

When they replicate an OEM headlight they completely disassemble it to bare bones parts and then make molds for each part of the light. From there they have their replica.

Robert

Robert, make sure you jump on them about fixing the light pattern in the glass! i cant stress this enough! id love to run a set when i get my silvia face on my hatch, but theyll be worthless if they use the JDM glass pattern that just creates glare!

I'm sorry but not everyone has 600 dollars to spend on a pair of old headlights with broken tabs if you think 240's are the new Hondas maybe you shouldn't be on zilvia.

I have silvia projectors ..never had the bricks so I don't know what the issues with them are.. but I would say if they make it crystal clear and smooth without the light dissipating markings that would solve the glare issue.. are they angled also like the projectors for rhd.

Interested

(just keep up the quality... less fading if at all.. and the proper channeling effect as someone mentioned earlier so that the light is more right side USDM biased than pointing at oncomming traffic)
