SR20 into 1990 S13 AC/PS Questions
I have a 1990 S13 with the KA24E still in it. I was building the KA, and then priorities changed and I realized I was getting a bit over my head. I recently got a good deal on an SR. I just have to assemble the head myself. I want to do the swap the right way, with AC and PS....thats where my questions arise.
I know the SOHC compressor won't work with the SR, but the DOHC will. The lines are also different (for both AC and PS) My engine assembly came with a compressor. My question is, Can I use DOHC AC/PS lines and make it work? if not...How did the rest of you guys with SOHC cars make the change? Also, I've read something about the tach not being able to read the SR signal. How does one go about fixing that issue? |

Use DOHC ac lines with AC compressor. They sale a bracket thay allowyou to use a dohc ka conpressor on a sr ~$100.00.
http://www.sr20acbrackets.com/ As far as PS goes, just use DOHC ka lines, will fit right into the sr pump.

Or keep the SOHC stuff under the dash/behind the firewall, use DOHC lines, and have a A/C shop fix the fittings. |
