HELP catch a thief. Identify the car this key goes to!
So I was out of town and let my good friend stay at my apartment. He rolled up around 130am and the house right next to my complex was throwing a party he said. When he woke up his car window was broken and his $2000 hunting bow was stolen, but these keys were left in his car. I'm assuming one of the drunk people from the party stole it...we already talked to them and they said they don't know anything, but didn't even seem the least bit concerned.
I've been in this apartment complex for 5 years and nothing of mine has been stolen. Granted I'm not an outdoors guy. That particular house has an outdoorsmen though...wranglers, drives an F250, has a Jeep crawler, camo, goes hunting, etc. So I don't think it was him, but I do think it was one of his friends. The police aren't really helping, so I'm trying to at least find the car to get the ball rolling. I can already assume that the Ford key is from a Mustang 96+ because it looks just like my little brother's key from when he owned a 96 Mustang. The Nissan key I can't figure out.

You're going to have a bad time trying to figure it out. I was a locksmith and keys are so common. It can be for a 98 explorer also bc of the remote....or a Taurus...Nissan keys has 2 identical ones...N102 and N104...Good luck tho!

Yeah I was guessing that era of Mustang as well. I at least know it's not a truck since it has a trunk release button. Also I live in a fairly small college town and this happened before the students were back, so I'm pretty sure it's a local. It should help me narrow down my search a little.

For that Nissan key, it looks like I can narrow it down to a 2000-2003 Maxima. It's not the master key, most likely a spare key.
edit: Definitely a 2002-2003 Nissan Maxima produced from 06/2001 to 12/2002. That's the only year models that have a spare key like that judging by FAST illustrations.

Whenever you see a ford in the neighborhood, use the remote. Or if you see a nissan that fits the profile in the right area, and get a chance/have balls, try the key.
Obviously, have this all documented first, so that you can prove that whoever demands their car key back also broke into the car. |

I am already looking around and trying the clicker. Also I talked to the people across the street that seem honest enough and are always outside smoking. They said they've caught the guy on the other side of my complex staring into cars with his hoody over his face. Someone is gonna get $2k worth of medical bills soon.
