s13 gauge cluster lights go off....
just out led's in my cluster...am i stupid or arent the cluster lights supposed to come on when you turn the headlights on? the led's work great, on as soon as i turn the key but when i turn the headlight know one or two clicks the cluster goes off?

Sounds like there's a loose ground or something. You might wanna do your typical continuity tests. If there's no continuity it's obviously a loose connection or the unit is bad. You might wanna check out Free online auto repair manual for the masses. Recession Proof. - Garage411 they usually have this kind of stuff.

Ok. After more research Im leavif towards the head unit wiring. Came with some old pioneer and switched over to a new Sony n there were a couple stray wires on the new one.

Hey man i have the same probles i jus put led on my cluster before the leds the cluster lights worked fine but once i finished the leds it comes on as soon as i put the key (when they are supposed to be off) the i turn on the lights (headlight) they go off, i do have a aftermarket headunit but it didn't affected the oem lights
Was this the problem you had? And if so what did you do to solve the problem?... |

According to me may be its an electrical wiring problem, I suggest you a best auto repair shop i.e. Rose Brothers Garage. They are really helpful.
