TONYFG2 Sacramento
UPDATE 3/14/14: Tony has sent me a refund that I felt was fair and covered my losses. He retained the wheels and both parties are now satisfied.
UPDATE: Tony and I are working on a resolution. Tony has apologized to me. He's going to reimburse me in cash for the loss I took in our deal. After about 2 weeks Tony and I resolved the conflict. This thread will stay up, but I am changing my signature and any non factual statements on my side. I'm asking any and everyone that reads this to take no action against Tony. Please do not call his work, do not harass him in person or vandalize his car. He is concerned that someone may take action against him and I am asking you not to. Original post: I traded my Work XD9 for his work emotion. When I asked him why he was getting rid of them he said that he was getting rid of them because they didn't fit his car. Fair enough. When we met up to trade he had the wheels in garbage bags and I was at work. So I didn't have a ton of time to look thoroughly at the wheels. I looked in each bag determined they were in fair enough condition and the cash he added on top ($200) would be sufficient to bring them to decent condition. We traded and went our separate ways. When I got home I realized that his reason to get rid of them was NOT because they didn't fit his car. Tony had taken two of the wheels, which were damaged. Used body filler and plastidip all over the inside of the barrels to cover up extensive (and poorly done) wheel repair. I know it was tony who did this because he had described how he repaired wheels at home to flip them to make money on the side. I immediately contacted tony and let him know the condition. He downplayed it and said he didn't know they were in such bad condition. I figured I would suck it up and get them repaired. But my welder guy would not weld them. I asked tony to do the right thing and give my wheels back and I would give him the cash he added as well. After about 2 weeks Tony and I resolved the conflict. This thread will stay up, but I am changing my signature and any non factual statements on my side.

Pics added. If you look closely you can see remnants of Tony's "repair" work.
Peeled off plastidip and jbweld to cover up the cracks.

I figured it would be cool and he seemed very cool/ smart over the phone.
I did a lot of research on him and know quite a bit now. I've pretty much let it go. But I want everyone here to know. I'll also be putting this link on Facebook groups.

sorry this happened to you. that blows....
Itrader stats are worth only a grain of salt at best IMO. I probably would have trusted it if I was meeting in person, which begs the question why you aren't knocking on someone's door, but its w/e. GL and hope you get it straightened out. PS why wouldn't the welder guy fix them? It kind of looks like he beat the hell out it with a hammer. was there body filler over all of that?

I passed on the wheels to someone who knew the situation with them. I showed him every crack via text and in person. LIKE A REAL SELLER SHOULD. Admins deleted the thread instead of locking it?

It sounds like fair compensation would be he returns your xd9's AND you keep his trashed wheels.
If he doesn't lose anything on it, what's to deter him from turning around and doing it again? |

That is super shady on his part, I don't understand why kids like these can get away with shit like that, just to make money on the side and put someone else in danger with their hack job of a wheel repair. Hope you get this resolved OP.

I have updated the original post and deleted links to his Facebook.
I also have a request to anyone reading this page. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT TONY'S WORK IN ATTEMPT TO HARASS HIM. He is currently correcting his wrong doing. The post will be deleted once everything is resolved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wheels, money, as long as he makes it right why does it matter which he pays his debt with?
Good luck with getting things resolved.

The issue has been resolved and Tony has reimbursed me what I would consider a fair amount. CASE CLOSED.
