I have a question about wheel fitment that I hope someone can help me out on.

I purchased a set of volk GTPs from OCIS a while back.

The sizes were 17x8 and 17x9 all with a +35 offset.

So what I did was, since the wheels were a two piece, I swapped the barrels and faces on the set of 9s with those of the 8s.

Now the rears (the 9s) sit nice and flush but the fronts are sunken.

I wanted to move the rear wheels to the front and pick up a set of 10 inch or wider rear wheels.

I like the style of the GTP so I am looking for a set of barrels that would work with the 17x9 +35 offset faces and be nice and flush in the rear of my S14.

Having to roll the fender or even a slight pull is fine, I just want something that will sit nice and I don’t want to run spacers.

My question is:

What offset rear wheel should I be looking for to match the face from a 17x9 +35 wheel and sit flush on the rear of my s14?

Are all the hardware/ hole patterns the same on all volk multi piece wheels?

Is there another brand that will match up with the volk hardware/ hole pattern?

Thanks for the help and if you have something that will work for my situation let me know, or even if you have a pair of 18x10 or wider GTPs, let me know.

You took
1. 17 x 9 +35
2. 17 x 8 +35

and made

1. 17 x 8 +35
2. 17 x 9 +35

Oh and step 1 to getting flush rear wheels... get flush FRONT wheels

17x9+35 is not flush. S13, S14 no. S12 maybe lol.

17x10 -5 be a man.

from what i understood both the 17x8s and the 17x9s were a 35 offset.
i put the wheels on and neither of them were flush
so i switched the faces and now the 17x9s sit flush in the rear.

the back spacing of the faces were not the same.
the 17x8 had alot more to it.

If this is wheel surgery, id be pressed to see you guys do anything more technical then placing a rim on a chassis...

if thats the case, then your front wheels werent originally + 35 offset. They had to be lower. 17x9 + 35 in the front isnt flush (by my definition anyway) and will rub everything under the sun...

He has high pad faces and low pad faces. If I were him I'd just spacers up front.

exactly what flybert said.... Think before flaming fellas.

You can accomplish the same offset with different barrel/face combo. Not all wheels use the same face and just change barrel size to create offset differences.
