Thanks for helping out with the poll Kid

There are 2 spline types. One with paddles to release:

And a straight spline like Signal Auto's:

Well, everybody has their own taste. For me, the steering wheel is not right next to my chest. But I'm not a very big and I sit pretty back. Anyhow, my setup is extreme.

When I bought it I was told to grease it up or else it would lock up. I didn't and haven't had a problem, but if you grease it up a bit you should never have a problem.

At first I didn't want a spacer until I actually put on my quick release, then it made a big difference. First being I can lower the steering wheel w/o hitting my legs, also I can get in and out of my bucket seat easier.

closer is better, but does increase danger in an accident without harnesses.

I love having my steering wheel 50mm closer, but I'm thinking about adding another 30mm spacer for the track.

Btw - I use the ball-lock type. works fantastic. zero play in any direction, and very easy to put on. No matter which way the wheels are turned.. Just slip it on, turn the steering wheel, and it locks in place in the right place.

ball lock. It gives an extra 50mm of extension. Closer to u so that you can have better steering control.

awww, what is this???

no FET quick release love? its neither spline, nor ball, nor paddle.

+1 for the FET, with its uh, locking puzzle piece design.

no but seriously, FET is better than spline, even though I use the OG Signal QR. FET is shorter too, only 1", so you can use with a dope concave wheel like Nardi Rally and still be all good.
