I've read through the threads, honest, I have and really didn't want to post this and ask.

Cold start it needs to get cranked 2-3 times after pressurizing the line.
The idle then hovers around 4-500 until dash temp is half it gets to 800rpm.


Neutral decelration If i hit the gas over 2500 it bogs and may or may not die.
When warm it revs free, no hesitation sputtering or breakup.

What I"ve checked:
Fuel pressure
Vac leaks - I think
Injector plugs-

I took off the IACV and cleaned it. From talking with a friend I understand it's a solenoid that has a constant 12v to the batter and gets a PCM signal from the ECU which is a varying ground to open and close it as needed.

It's getting a constant 12 and on startup a full ground. I used to terminals and activated the solenoids to make sure it's moving.
Still no cold start!!

Jah. even with the car running I pull out the plug and there is no change in the idle.
I activate the solenoid manually and still nothing.. what gives?

So is the normal position of the solenoid open or closed when the car is off?
It sounds to me like it should be open for the cold start and slowly close as operating temperature achieved?

just went through the same problem... mine turned out to be my "start signal" wire to my ecu had come unsoldered. On a 62 ecu it is pin 34, not sure what it is on your ecu. When you try to start you car it get s a 12 volt signal and tells all four injectores to fire simultaneously. Have a friend turn the key while you check the wire. your syspmtoms sound real similar to mine.

I believe the normal postion for you IACV is closed.
