Yeah they are cafe inspired. It's just a style. I personally like the Green Yamaha better then the ones you posted anyway. I'm not too concerned with authenticity. I just wanna build a cool bike and use some cafe inspiration.

I'll probably get another bike for that. Plus I wanna get real comfortable riding a bike before I trust myself with my wife's life on the back.

Some more slow progress.
I took the handle bars mostly off. I couldn't get the grip off the left side so I couldn't get that stuff off so they are just hanging there. I started thinking that instead of straigh copying the green bike I might do something different. I was thinking of somehow modifying the stock seat and rear subframe. In these pics I have the subframe bolted on at the top of the frame and then swung up a little to make the tank and seat area sit more flat instead of racked like it is stock. I'm going to have to make the tank shorter to get it to fit the way it is. The stock seat doesn't look that bad on there actually now that all the clutter shit is off. Oh and I took off the crash bar in the front. I think that's what people call it. I also took off the yamaha badges on the tank. I'll just fill those in.

Damn this thread has me looking for leather jackets again. Now I just need the bike to back it up. I knew I should've bought that cb650.
I love your bike Slowpo. It has now joined the ranks of my picture folder that inspire my future projects.

Is it even possible to ride this thing and not exude cool?
Carrot Top could drop panties with this thing. Well, maybe not carrot top but you get the idea.
