New Beginnings kouki build
A little info on how I got my car. On April 19th 2012 I was hit by a car on my Triumph Daytona. A young girl pulled a U turn directly in front of me, I hit her car at about 50mph and woke up in a ditch. My friend that was behind me said me and the bike did complete flips before making contact on the ground. Made it out of the accident with non life threatening injuries but part of my finger was ripped off. After her insurance company sent me a check for the bike i needed a car and thought it was time for another 240 Found this one a few hours away and decided to make the trip
from this to this 1997 kouki 5spd conversion 171K miles expectations with the car are to ls swap the motor and get the body fixed to make a quick car that handles well and looks good. first mod were coilovers then the interior got some love. all of the center bezels and shift boot and knob were missing. no stereo either Then onto the brakes, It came with Q45 front brakes but the white paint looked horrible, had some leftover red in the garage. Onto the suspension godspeed sway bars, nitto neogen tires, Varrsteon wheels and lugs,H&R +15 spacers for the front bye bye mustang wheels no more pos battery, relocated it into the trunk red top optima FTW the rear main seal was leaking along with the tranny. and then the clutch started to slip. got an awesome deal on act clutch and ISIS radiator. Replaced all the transmission seals durring clutch instal. to get my by until V8 time Currently the car stands like this until i get the full settlement from the accident to fund the ls1 swap and body work. super excited to continue building this car |
