Best design for roll cage?
I'v been looking into all the different designs people are doing for their cages and I am trying to find out if one works better than another. I am using .95x1.75 DOM. It will be going into a s13 fb, completly gutted that I want to be able to tandem drift at PIR(need a cage with door bars). My main question is about a horizonal cross I have seen on a local s13 and how much does it help if so. Any info will help. Thanks

THe only way to dertermain if one worked better than the other would is to have 2 identical vehicles and have the cages as the only variable. I dont' think anyone has done that. What you probably want to ask yourself is, "Will the car be used in such a way that the benifit of the X would out weigh the weight?" At your driving level, do you think you will be able to utilize the structure to the best if it's ability? I really don't think anyone will be able to help you on your project. It's realy just gonna be your call. Try it with out. you can always go back and add.

Yeah i'v searched it and cant really find why they choose to put the X there. because I want to get my car down as light as possible. I will go with the minimum. Plus like "Maxstyle" said I can always add to it.
