Do we know the whole story? Where was the dog? Do we know it was a Corgi?
Are you aware of SWAT tactics, limitations, procedures, etc. ?

Personally, I don't know any of this info.

Maybe the dog was a threat. I don't know though.

They must have found some need to end the dog's life. let me know if there is an entire story to this. I'd like to know.

"This video shows a search warrant served by the Columbia Mo. police department. The cops bust in this guys house in the middle of the night and shoot his two dogs (one a pit bull that was caged in the kitchen and the other a Corgi) with children in the home. it turns out that rather than a big time drug dealer, this guy had a small pipe with some resin in it, a grinder, and what the cops here call "a small amount of marijuana" (meaning less than a few grams). We here in Comlumbia want everyone to know what kind of police department we have here, check out our "finest" in action."

Oh, I see. Somebody decided to write a caption on a public video site explaining exactly what happened, huh? I'm sure that is a VERY credible source.... (sarcasm)

I could go outside right now, film the sun, then upload it to Youtube and write a description saying it's the Son of God coming down from the heavens above. So, is that a fact?

Anyway, if I had to throw out a guess as to why they killed the dog, it would be this. This seems to be a HIGH danger raid they are doing (notice their equipment). Now, something like a loud barking dog could probably muffle the sound of other people in the house possibly sneaking up around a corner with a weapon. I would have to guess that the Officers probably want as little background noise as possible for the success and safety of the mission.

Again, I really have no idea, but that would be a reasonable guess, I think.

Of course, this is Zilvia and the easy thing to say is "fuck the police. power tripping fuckers". I suppose.

I don't think it's right at ALL to kill a dog for no reason. That's bullshit.

This shit actually happened to my friend, too, they busted in his house and found basically nothing.

If I was that guy, I would be pissed the fuck off. He was even like tripping out wondering what the fuck he did, so I kinda do believe that they basically didn't find anything. "Why you gotta be like this?" lol. ( I didnt see a Corgi, btw)

This video is scary. Who knows when the police are gonna bust up your house, shoot your dogs, and throw you in jail?

I feel sorry for the dogs. I am sure most of us had pets before. How would you feel one day if the cops shot them up?

That's funny, i'm currently on the waiting list, to become a Honolulu police officer. There are bad cops out there, just as there are good ones. They went in on "evidence" (probably an anonymous tip) that said he was a mid-level dealer. Their "intelligence" didn't even know he was married or had a kid, so how good could it be? Remember this is in a town that has made possession of under an ounce a misdemeanor- some 60% of the citizens couldn't care less about pot. The SWAT team is made up of regular officers who get paid overtime for raids. The cops in this town are beginning to acquire a reputation for corruption and excessive force- check out the recent taserings....

SWAT ought to be at least held accountable for that.

So what if a baby is crying really loud? SWAT should shoot the baby cuz it might muffle the sound of others. lol. Lets shoot everything thats loud and makes noise.

But I can kind of understand a cop killing a pit bull. Those shits are crazy, but I mean there are various non lethal methods. I mean you can hit the dog with the but of your gun, thats a lot better then shooting and killing it.
