Portland is ideal for us as we have a great rep there along with a big existing customer base. In addition, shipping containers through Tacoma is cheapest for us. It is much more expensive to send containers to the east coast.

Biggest thing i would say is just have lots of suspension parts and wheels for the PNW. Lots of drifting year round so everyone will need spare suspension parts and wheels.

Any plans for stocking front clips / engines? a few SR20s would be prime before the weekend?
Portland has a great car scene, just stay true to your work, and dont take on more than you can handle, like some of the shops that closed in the Portland area. |

We are staying away from motors because there is too much potential for trouble. If by taking on more work than can be handled you mean tuning, that won't be an issue for us. We will be doing absolutely no tuning. It is simply a retail shop and warehouse space for us. Portland Speed Industries is right down the road from us so customers can swing over there with any parts they need installed or tuning work done.

We're pinning down the weekend, but the grand opening will be during one of the weekends in March.

Doesn't matter what you carry, 97% of the drift-tards here are broke as fuck and won't spend money on decent parts even if they have it.
Excited to come visit, though! |

Times another 100000000000000000000.
It obviously costs more to get a container to the east coast but man, it has to be cheaper than all us paying UPS or FedEx to get aero parts across the country from Portland.

We'll have some D-Max parts in stock, but we generally don't bother with their aero kits because there are so many knock-offs out there that are cheaper and of comparable (or superior depending on the run) quality. Our Portland shop is going to be a bit of a special place with an assortment of hard to find and rare goods and accessories along with new and used tuning parts. It is not hyperbole when we say there will be no place in the US like it. We've been setting some cool stuff aside specifically for the showroom. In March customers will literally be able to walk into our shop and leave with a zebra Thrash bucket seat, 18x10J Blitz Technospeed Z1s, Ikeya Formula tie rods, any issue of Drift Tengoku (we will literally have all of them), a handful of Kids Heart and Bad Quality stickers, a Keiichi Tsuchiya Nardi wheel, Reinhard titnium exhaust and Car Modify Wonder carbon hood.

We're actually calling them tomorrow to check stock levels ironically enough.

Spoke with BN Sports and they have no current stock. We have to place an order and then they will make it. Because of the New Years holiday they wouldn't be able to process the order until after the first week of January, which means there is a chance they may not make this container. They would have to go on our next container, which would be in March.

Unless California changes their laws by then you're going to need to move to another state.

Fuck it, fuck you Cali. You guys can't do R32 here either?
And there are a couple R32 - R34 I've seen. What about the show car rule? You ever brought in with that intention? From what I read it can be street driven but just very low miles |

To register a direct import in California it has to be at least a 1976 model or older. The Hakosuka and Kenmeri GT-Rs you guys have running around are legal. The 25 year exemptions and show and display rule apply in California. You can legally import and own a 25 year old car, they're just not going to let you register or plate them.

So the rule let's us import, buy and pay taxes. But let it sit in the garage? Awsome! Lol
Good thing I'm moving to Louisiana, do you have any idea on thier laws for importing? Or smog even? I'm hoping it's not another California. I'd love to run a open exhaust (no cats) and not worry about smog or CARB Thanks for your help so far! I need a R34 in my future or I'm not going to die complete |
