Greddy bov problems!

Ok so i recently bought a greddy rz for my car. That is the brand new bov from greddy, pretty sure its the same design as the rs. The problem i am having is compressor surge. I previously had a hks but decided to go to greddy after my first hks seized. And the hks bov's blow off at like 1lb of pressure. My questions/concern is is it typical for greddy's to have a fair amount of compressor surge? It blows off just fine when i get on it, but at like 3lbs and easy throttle it just seems to flutter

my friends RS used to make that flutter noise too when on low boost. is it even really that bad of a thing since you arent boosting on high numbers?

you have nothing to worry about, not venting at 3lbs isnt a big deal and its not hurting anythingggg. But lets not turn this into a compressor surge debate, either way your FINE move onto something new

I'm having the same problem with my RS I just purchased. It surges even when I get on it. Any suggestions as how to rid myself of the 'flutter'?

What you have to do is adjust it according to how its being run. First you have to take all the fittings off and put Teflon tape on them to close any leaks. I put my RS on a vacuum pump and it leaked out fairly quickly and would not hold any pressure. Secondly, to adjust it, you have to put it on the vacuum pump and if you are running it open you have to adjust it so that when vacuum is applies, the plunger STARTS to lift at about 15psi, or 1 bar. Recirculated you can set it lower than 1 bar so about 12 psi is a good start. Obviously you have to play with it a little but its a good idea about where you can start at.
