Starter Question

Just quick question: How long do you think it would take to remove and replace a starter on a KA24E? I am going the job tonight, and wanted to know how much time I should set aside. I got a lab for school tonight and want to know if I will be able to finish it in time or if I should wait until another day.

should take you about an 30mins to an hour if you take your time and have the right tools. I also assume that you know how to do it as well.

All right, much thanks man. Doesn't look like I'll be able to get to it tonight, though. My dad is supposed to take me out to my car at the AFB, but he hasn't come home yet

I agree with drew, 30-60 minutes. I did it on the side of the road once, from the top only. If your bellhousing -> starter bolts haven't been turned for 10 years, you may have a somewhat tough time.

i removed one off an 89, removed my old one, and then point the 89 one onto my car sub hour..so thats a reasonable range...u can do it from the top or bottom, id say the bottom is easier, top seemed to cut my arms up a bit more.
