I'm now checking the TPS voltages with 2 different multimeters and refrencing a NA Sr20 from a G20 just to be sure.
On my S14 Sr20DET I'm probing the following wires:

A-blk -gnd
B-w - from tps( .4v closed 5v open)
C-lg/r - from ecu (5v)

My results:
.01Vclosed and .08 open
.2V from ecu and 2 when running?

refernced sr20DE from G20
.4v and 4.9 open
5v

What the heck is going on, is the SR20DET using different voltages?

Something is wrong.

I would first try to get 5V on the power wire. This should be close to 5 regardless. This may be the source of your problem.

Check the power wire for shorts. Make sure it goes straight to the ECU and does not rub anything.

It could also be that you're not measuring voltage correctly with the multimeter. Can you measure another Nissan to make sure you're doing it correctly?

Thanks for the input, I did measure my G20 with 3 pin TPS and got the FSM values.
refernced sr20DE from G20
.4v and 4.9 open
5v

Can I check right at the ECU pin 48 for the 5v reference?

Yea I always check TPS voltage at the ECU. I forgot which pin it is but IIRC it is a white wire.

From this diaram it looks like the white wire is the signal out from the TPS and the Light green and red is the one with the 5v from the ECU. Judging by the arrows.
