Wanted to know what color the headlight hot is for running lights. I want to wire my autometer gauges into it for power. please help

I just tapped into the wires in the back of the cigarette lighter.. there's only 2 of them IIRC.

The illumination wire you want is easy to find in the FSM, I'd suggest downloading it anyway.

You haven't mentioned whether you have an S13 or S14, but I'll guess S13. I believe it's the same for S14 anyway.

There's a green/red wire that delivers power to the stalk for running lights and tail lights (#12 on the "lighting switch" plug), and a red/blue wire that carries that power from the stalk out to the lights (#11). That's the one you want to grab for illumination on your gauges.
