Itachi gave Naruto a power that is similar to Kakashis ability to send something to another dimension just by looking at it, except instead of sending the person or thing to another dimension, the thing becomes locked inside of his own mind-space. Itachi says he hopes he never has to use it simply because by using this ability you accept that you are responsible for taking the person's life for the rest of eternity and it binds you to their spirit for all of space and time. However, after Naruto achieved the level of sage and absorbed the Nine-tails chakra, he has become transcendent and at peace with himself, to the point where he could confidently use this ability and be comfortable with multiple beings living within his mind-space reality. It is about utilizing the realization that the mind is everywhere, and everyone is already inside of it; we are all already One conscious vibration, bound to each other by threads of energy, moving as One throughout all space and time. Naruto's ultimate ability is to be at peace with this, and to absolve any conflict within the Greater Mind, which he has become one with. Maybe...

That sounds incredibly dumb. I feel the entire moveset (sending someone to another dimension/mind/place) is all based on the Sharigan's ability to manipulate. Non-Sharingan ninjas can't use that shit because they lack the proper "equipment." Think of the eye as a tool to funnel/enhance your abilities.

I have a feeling the gift Itachi gave is going to break the will of the puppets. Everyone and their mothers have stated Naruto's greatest power is/has always been his power to change/influence people. Maybe the gift will be the breaking point Naruto needs to influence the puppets into breaking their hold/dying peacefully.

Sidenote, I believe this WILL occur eventually, but we'll see. The puppets can be controlled because they all, ultimately, have things in their lives they wanted to finish. Chibo? That old medical ninja lady? She would want Sakura to fully unlock her medical powers. Asuma wants to see his baby/babymomma. Konoha Kages all want to see Konoha at peace, etc etc etc. Upon realizing this, they possibly can break their will/never be puppets again.

I base that on NOTHING AT ALL. Just wishful thinking. And Casper the Friendly Ghost starring Christina Ricci.

I was leaning toward some kind of illusion, like the 4th's with naruto... but since itachi says he wishes he doesn't have to use it, i'm guessing it'll be something more lethal. He wouldn't kill sasuke so i'm thinking it's some kind of jutsu to seal his abilities... Maybe blind him? remove his sharingan somehow?

In the anime fillers, they should show some episodes of the time skip between the first Naruto series and the shippuden. Like how Kakashi got his mangekyo. Who died for it?

anyone think it could simply be a shield from being manipulated by the sharingan? that shit is like hax. the only fair way of a final fight would be naruto's ability to not shit himself when sasuke tries to genjutsu the fuck out of him.

That's what i used to think, but i recently saw the killer bee vs sasuke fight, and i noticed bee was able to break sasuke's mangekyou using the 8 tail within him.

If kouki monster's statement is right about naruto learning to break genjutsu next chapter, then he'll have the upper hand against sasuke. He'll practically be immune to genjutsu.

But there's a pattern... one minute naruto is waaay stronger than sasuke, and the next, sasuke learns something new n gets waay stronger than naruto.. and the pattern goes on... so i'm expecting something big from sasuke now

killer bee using the 8tails works because the chakra disturbance of the 8tails... watch the clone itachi vs kakashi and naruto battle. There were no need for eye contact. But the genjutsu was broken by sakura and old lady whats her name from the sand with their chakra. Pretty much the same thing that happened, I think, with the 8tails and bee.

The stronger the genjutsu, the less likely it can be broken. Tsukuyomi can't be broken by just anyone. Sasuke can perform tsukuyomi, although probably weaker than Itachi's...at the moment.

Yea i know that. I'm talking about naruto though, not just anyone. He like killer bee has a tailed beast within that could create the chakra disturbance... that's why i said he'll practically be immune to genjutsu once bee teaches him how to use the beast to break it.

I knew Kankuro was gonna become beastly, but I doubt this is even the tip of the iceberg him with since he had access to not only Sasaori's body but Chiyo-ba's too! And she had higher quality puppets and technique than Sasori... He just had higher numbers and brute strength. But oh man, was his Kazekage puppet dope!
