I am going to side on the when its finished line. Though it does kinda have a dope look to it now. It kinda takes me back to my 510 days in High school. LOL Palo Alto. hahahahaha.

While I like how low it is, it would indeed be a pain to drive on the street. Hell don't even think about LA. LOL

Oh and the Integra shocks is old news. Back in the late 80's ITS Z cars were taking Integra struts/shocks and converting them to coils because they were shorter than Z struts and they could drop the car more for track.

Yuta if you are reading this? Which you probably are, lol, keep up the good work man.
Congrats to Yuta for pulling the old school style of making something work instead of just buying off the shelf shit.

We're 510-less at the moment. we've either burnt them to the ground or sold them for greener pastures.

I like this car, but I dug the pink s13 with battles a bit more. Just a big I don't give a fuck car just like this one.

agreed +1000, i dont see how rust on a car can be even remotely attractive, but to each their own, it'd look a million times better with a good paint job though.

great looking car.

but nothing new.
the hot rodders have been doing the rusted look along with the VW guys for quite awhile.
I sold my rusty and faded VW for my 240, lol.

Japan is just catching on with some of thier drift cars, so its about time we followed the automotive trend.

Oh how this is gonna piss the purist off, lol.
I have had secret car plans for over a year with this look, just waiting to move out and get a garage and a new shell.
was hoping to be ahead of the trend, but it looks like it hit the shores of LB and Motor Mavens caught it.

good work to Antonio and the rest of the Mavens!
would like to see the car get a fully built and carbed straight six.
non of that sr or rb swaps the Z guys do.

its just a work in progress. he has stance down easy. Shit is intense. I mean, wait until its complete. Hes only been working on it for such a short time.

its not done!

i bought the car bone stock 5 months ago and started working on it a couple months ago!

it will be painted.

it will have a decent power plant.

ill work out all the small details and imperfections.

with that said, thanks again guys.

oh and just for the record, im not going for a rat rod look. that's how the paint looked (minus the brown fender, i replaced the wrinkled stock fender with that one) when i bought it. i bought it for the interior and the lack of serious rust. i considered primering it for JCCS but decided against it as i would have sanded it off any way as it would be no good after a couple months of daily driving it.

Please get a pro paintjob done on that car (interior, engine bay, etc). I'm so sick of seeing S30s treated like shit.
Stance and flares, etc look nice.

it will be painted professionally, i am prepared to spend around $2000, its just going to take a while to save up that much money but i know it will be worth it.

oh and surprising as it may be, the color has already been decided and its the original silver. no pink for this one!

Very cool the dudes on here.

I actually really like that rusty/rat look.

although yours isnt really like that.
But I like how it looks.
has a real feeling of taking something people thought of as expendable, unvalued junk and saying, HEY, this can still be a great and functioning car.
you can still do really cool stuff with this, dont throw it away.
I just kind of like what the whole look states.

This guy below builds some amazing Z cars.
And this thing handles on the Autocross.
He will tell you he prefers the SR over RB swap.
The SR sits behind the front wheels!

I really think the rusty look is just an excuse for people not to care about their paint. In which case, I'm just going to stop washing my car, let it sit on the side of the road for the winter, and post some pics up in the summer.

IT WILL LOOK AWESOME!

BTW: I don't mind the rusted out look, that was just my opinion. lol

Most of the high end hot rods are actually painted to look rusty and it cost alot more than regular paint.
also, that whole copper oxidized look, thats paint as well.

Now the cars with rusted out cancer holes in Japan that they drift.
they decided to take something that was thrown away by society and get a little more use out of it.
I gotta respect that kind of mentality.
it may not be worth fixing the whole thing to just have a little fun for a few years, but its worth saving instead of putting it into a landfill or continuing to let it go to waste.

Just because something isnt perfect, doesnt mean it should be thrown away. And just cause its gonna take some time to fix something, doesnt mean you still cant enjoy it during the process.

The car has got some style.

Fitment and stance is top notch.

This Z is a perfect example of how important the stance of a car is... more important than paint.
