i gotta see if i can borrow a truck and trailer cuz i can only carry 2 wheels (last time i went through 3pairs of tires lucky city tire was out there) at a time in my car when i don't have a passenger. or i might just take my pass seat ou and stack wheels in there lol Did you guys find out if you're gonna have a tire machine??? ANd what is the deal with ride alongs?? My brother and sister want to go and just kick it and get a ride along maybe.

Ride alongs are kinda....iffy. maybe in the afternoon. I'll have to talk to the peeps at willow. Because the insurance is kinda weird. No passengers for grip.

SWEET!!! HTM is THE SHIT.
Hopefully you guys can get it worked out with passengers. I know it sounds retarded, but you will lose quite a few people without allowing passengers. Myself as well as a few others roll up as solo drivers, with a friend to help work on the car/change tires. Its impossible to talk anyone into spending all day at willow without letting them ride along in the car they are working on. Nearly every event i've been to at willow has allowed passengers(actually ALL except the streets of willow). Hopefully you get it handled.. Keep us posted, as i'll prolly sign up if you allow me a passener. Free bump! |

heres the deal with passengers, they dont have a "drifting insurance"
Last time at the balcony, Jim at willow told me to not allow any passengers, theres a loop hole through it, but i dunno. As long as everyone behave, I may let ppl have passengers for drift for the advance drivers.

well, we will see.
But isnt it better without passenger? Less weight? Faster lap times?

There's no transponder, lap times don't matter,
And in my case, usually a passenger is more experienced and points out different lines/brake points/etc. Like an instructor... but maybe not, haha.

khmerguy618,
I would say you could crash at my house, but I live in hollywood. By the time you made it here, we would have to turn around. I usually leave at 5AM with Jackson to get things rolling first thing. (plus with late drivers, I went through 4 tires by 9:30 and had the course to myself for a half hour If you bring a truck, just crash in the back for 2 hours. Remember though, its FREEZING desert tempetures at night and little chilly in the day. |

balcony is smooth. usually I run through a set and a half. I end up just driving home on the second pair cause there still good and im lazy.
el Toro is a great course, It just eats tires. When i did DD36 there, I went through 6 tires. all of em completely done. two of them chunked to flats, two i took to the limit, and two to cords. |

It mainly depends on your driving style!
I could make 2 sets last all day, but when i drive really agressive and put down sick smoke i could go through 4 sets easy! It all depends on your driving style,, so i would say at least 2 sets. p.s. the balcony is really smooth compared to el toro |

I got a KA and i went through 4 pairs my first time there (3rd track event). I'd suggest bringing 1 pair more than you think you'll need just in case so u can at least drive home.
