Running 302 = $500 Running LS1 = $2500 ...and you can swap in either motor with a little fabrication skill and a welder. Now if you had a shop do it for you (ala Hinson)...then yeah, $9,000-10,000. - Brian

hey luke...
when is the next event up here? i need to figure out when to tow it.. let me know... also.. reason for swap is cheap also.. a stock sr makes like 200 hp how is that more power than a stock 5.0

Isn't it 175hp to the wheels. I could have sworn that that engine does 225hp at the engine. So 175 at the wheels sounds right or so...With what I saw in the engine bay, I would say close to 190+ at the wheels.

car looked cool at the meet, looked like alot of fab work went into it. It looked like you had to have a custom oil pan made and the location of the shifter location looked really awkward. all in all, good job on the swap, are you going to the drift event at altamont on the 6th. If not bring it out on a friday and tear it up.
