S14 low beams not working

I posted this on the small questions thread and no response so in creating my own thread.

Hey guys I have a 97' 240sx and today I started up the car getting it all warmed up. So I decided to turn on my lights. Worked fine but 5 minutes later headlights and taillights went out, it was weird because it literally just shut off. Lows beams do not work for some reason but high beams do work, as well as my brake lights when I press down on my brakes. Also my turn signals work as well, front and back. It is all very weird.

I do not think it's the headlight bulb because my entire headlight unit is brand new from Nissan.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Can anyone help me? I'm really confused, I checked my relay which is fine, bulbs are fine. I did not mess with any wiring.

Check your headlight switch
Swap it with a known working one and go from there

also check your body harness going above the driver side wheel well to see if it's in tact

It took awhile to receive it but I managed to obtain a new headlight switch.....and still does not work. Checked the body harness it looks perfect.

The same thing happens high beams work, brake lights work, turn signals work. I'm stumped.

Any suggestions on what to do now? By the way they were working perfectly fine until that day.

EDIT**

Also found out my cluster does not light up either!!

Shoot me a pm tomorrow around noon and I'll check some wiring diagrams and see if any of those lights have something in common(module wise)

Get a multimeter and the headlight wiring diagram out and find out where the power stops. Unplug your head light socket and verify there's power there. If not, move backwards until you find where it is. Correct the issue area once found. It's pretty simple diagnosis really.

I found the problem. I found a short on the drivers side headlight. Since it was a short I found out it blew the fuses for the taillight and headlight, changed them and everything all works now.

Thanks guys.
