Rear Seat Speaker Box
After sitting in the back seat of the 240, I wondered how anyone could engineer such crap. I guess it works if your some 5'5 Japanese guy. Since it smelled like cat piss(ask the previous owner..) I decided to make a speaker box and just ditch it. I took all the seat foam, seat belts including the ones in the windows and chucked them out. My friend and I spent about half a day and put this speaker box together. It perfectly fits in the slot where the seat used to be, including an angled back. I have a pair of 6x9s, but you can see there is plenty of room for 2 10s if you so please. If you are interested, i could probably throw some plans together.
I am going to carpet it when I redo the carpet in the car. You can see in one of the pictures that the carpet was cut. I am going to wait until I do my swap before I throw new carpet on everything. It weighs about 50lbs. Its easy to take in and out, so if your ever racing, just pull it out and call it good |

10s? bah! 12s own! actually, in all seriousness thats a pretty cool idea, seeing as the rear speakers suck at stock size. but i dunno, i just got rid of my sub box cause it was too heavy, and i bet that thing's got some decent weight to it....but props anyway!

to each his own I would have done more speaker, but its all i really wanted. I already had a 2 channel 300w amp, so I figured it was the best for me. It has enough base, good mid, and the speakers in the front take care of everything else!
