350z Brembo brakes front w/ Z32 Rears on 240sx?!

The search function isn't working for some reason, and I have searched and searched but I can't find someone who runs Z33 Brembos up front WITH Z32 rear break setup.

Hopefully someone here has/is running them, and can chime in about how the pedal feel is and if they are overly-sensitive to locking up like Q45s front can.

Thanks for any info!

I ran with Z32 rears and Z32 30mm fronts utilizing the 350z track rotors and an adapter bracket and it wasnt bad on a stock S14 non abs master/booster.

It was a little spongy up top but I kind of liked it like that to be honest.

It may be a bit different than the brembo calipers also because they may move a bit different volume but I would assume its roughly similar feel.

If it's any help, I run evo 8/9 front brembos and STi rears w/ z32 rotors and the pedal feels great with my 1" q45 BMC (same as BM50)

I noticed the pedal was a bit softer switching over to the brembos from the z32's, but not by much and the balance is still there. I had the q45 fronts with stock rear 240sx and the front bias was horrible even with the rear altima rotor swap.

Its about the same as a sti/evo Brembo setup. When I had them it was a tad softer than running a full set of Z32 calipers. Just make sure you upgrade the BMC as mentioned.

Thanks fellas!

I got some Z33 Brembo calipers for a really good price, so I pulled the trigger on them!

I'm going to source a full Z32 rear brake setup and upgrade to a Z31 BMC since it keeps the 70/30 bias and 569psi split point.

I also noticed that the brake bias is nearly 70/30 by using the Z32 front calipers on Z33 track rotors according to this brake torque calculation (too bad for the pad overhang):
http://www.sr20forum.com/240sx-s13-s...ke-setups.html

I'm guessing the Z33 Brembo fronts will have a bit more front bias because of the bigger pad/pistons, but should be close as the rotors will be almost 1" size difference (12.76 on Z33 front & 11.7 on Z32 rears).

I appreciate the feedback!
