I don't think Walmart has ever carried Giant bikes, at least not that I can recall. You'd be surprised on the innovative ideas they have come out with over the years, but that's for a different thread.

yeah.. have you heard about the one where kids are taking off their brakes so their bikes are lighter... but then they make them fixed gears... so they are harder to peddle and more exhausting... and charge more than bikes that have brakes and gears...

I just can't get around bikes being for kids who are to young to ride motorcycles or own cars. Just like airsoft and paintball are for people who can't own real guns.

I can totally understand owning a 3-ounce $8,000 bike if you are racing professionally and a million dolars is on the line and that 1lb difference can make or break you. (But even then, be a man and just dope). But to buy something like that to indulge a leisure hobby or an exercise routine is just batty.

I see fixies as a juvenile attempt at building a hard-tail. If you are over 16, you should be building one of these.. especially seeing in many cases I'm sure it's cheaper.

I understand that, but many people like myself used it more for a workout than pure transportation, plus many trails that are mountain bike specific don't allow motorcycles on them.

The funny part about paying so much for a mountain bike being batty can be said for most of the people who throw in sr20's or mod to no avail but never take it to a track. The good thing about mountain biking is you actually improve yourself in the process, but like I said before that's for another thread and I'm not intending to derail the thread any further than we already have.

Anyways fortune auto is doing their scratch and dent sale again and I'm hoping to get some of their frs/BRZ coilovers

most pro riders do hill training on fixed gears for a start. all the japanese road riders i rode with did.

i got my wife an acer for 250 bucks from best buy online

Should have just rented it for $4.99. It's straightforward, easy and there is no "choice", only 3 different endings which you can get choose to get last minute.
