If you look closely at the core support you will see 4 shiny bolt heads two on each side. I have a decent size aluminum bracket bolted in underneath the support. Also you can see where we made the cuts. In all honesty the Xcessive Z32 kit wasn't all that great in my opinion. Big hassel to replace. The tranny fitment is extremely tight, and the flywheel spacer becomes more of a headache. Yes I run the risk of breaking a trans but it turned out both of those z32 trans I got with the car were damage in one way or another. So it was in my best interest to switch back. The SR tranny with serve me well for now. and I have a spare as a back up just incase. The end goal for me is to go LS or JZ. Haven't decided just yet.

Well it was a long and frustrating Saturday working on the car. Any and everything that could fight me to be installed did.
-All four tranny bracket bolt holes, had to be re-tapped and cleaned before the bolts would go in. -1 Carrier bracket bolt hole had to be re-tapped as well. -Bracket fought me a little to line up. -Drive shaft went on kinda easy then stopped about the last quarter inch and was a paint to get the rear piece over the diff. Little grinding took care of that. -Tranny fluid fill up was the easiest part. -Realized I need a test pipe section to complete my exhaust install. :/ I said screw it and decided to go open DP the AEM v1 is setup for it anyways. -Thought I was all set topped off all my fluids and went to start the car. crank crank crank nothing. Ohhh and then smoke coming out of the harness. Turns out I ground a power wire! Great, awesome way to try and start the car. Found the issue and fixed it. Tried to start it again and crank crank crank nothing. At this point nothing. I got fuel and compression just no spark. decided to pull my worn plugs and put in new ones. start try #3 crank crank crank nothing. Started to check fuses and other things nothing that jumped out at me. So at this point. I either fried something, something isn't connected, or the s chassis gods just don't like me. hoping I didn't mess up something expensive.

Well the plan at this moment is to see if the AEM is still functioning correctly. If so from there Ill be picking up a new wiring specialties harness.
Guess its time to work on the body. More updates coming soon.

When the SR doesn't want to play nice and you just sitting there thinking how a 2J might have a different attitude.

Just a heads up, you mounted that coolant catch upside down. Also make sure you're putting the line from the radiator onto the nipple that isn't connected to the tube that goes up inside the tank.

Build Update 11/9/15 (The big Move)
After having more wiring issues then I would want to admit it came time to make a decision on what to do with the car. My Dad was kind enough to let me use his tool barn up to this point but with winter pretty much here in VA he needs to get it ready to move all his tools inside. So I decide to bring the car home. I don't have any pics of the move but we moved really quick Sunday morning so everyone could enjoy the afternoon. on to the pics! Much better lighting in my garage. Picked up a pair of smoked coupe tails last week also for a steal. Marking the AEM O2, IAT, and Map wires One of the more easier harness I have ever pulled out. Decided to Pull the dash while I was working on the harness last night so I could organize everything correctly. How she sits for now. At this point I wont be buying to many more parts this winter. I do plan to pick up a Wiring Specialties harness, new valve cover since I have to reset my CAS and start on the body work. I plan to have the car painted the first of the spring.

Well since im in a hold pattern until I can purchase my new harness. I decided to pull off the valve cover and reset the CAS.
After setting up the motor for TDC I attempted to reinstall the CAS correctly. Took about 7 trys to get it this close. Next Im moving on to redoing the valve cover.

Not much of an update. I haven't really worked on the car at all in the last couple weeks since the move.
I decided to start prepping the valve cover for paint. Paint stripper is awesome but makes a mess also. Another round and it will be good to go.

After battling with USPS for 3 days, I finally have my new sr20 pro series harness. I would like to thank the staff of wiring specialties for their service and support. They have been there to help with all USPS issues.

AWR S13 Coupe Street/Drift Build
Update.
Harness is in and now I'm currently working on setting up the master kill switch. My battery is possibly done. Also decide to flock my dash today. Over all experience with it. You need two people. Make sure you roll it on as smooth as possible I got runs in two places while I was setup up my spray can. Clean up is a mess and honestly that part almost has me turned off to this whole process. I'm still waiting for the dash to dry but overall I feel the results look promising. I can see areas I slightly missed due to not enough coating in that spot. But it looks better then my blue cracked dash and that's all I really wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
