265/17 or 18 all around on S14?

anyone have larger tires on their wheels for track events?
What kinds of wheels do you have, and were they custom offsets?
Any fender rolling?

Thats my street size. Still have not figured out the track size. I want the 245 all the way around. May need to use spacers to get that size to work in front.

Edit, this is on a s13 so I guess it does not help you.

275 on the front with: 17x9 wheel +27 offset. 3/4" spacer.

Fenders pulled *slightly* to clear, but Hoosiers are a bit wider than rated.

Running a 265 up front should be fine w/o major pulling using the right offsets. I ran 245's up front with stock fenders for a year without probs. Used a rim sized 16x7.5 +26mm. Plenty of clearance to the fender and coilover.

245/45/R16 worked great for me for autocross. It should work great for the track as well. With a 240sx, you really don't NEED much more tire than that untill you start making huge HP numbers. I'm gearing my setup to push around 350 to the wheels, which is why I run the huge tires... but looking back, i probably should've gone 275 on all 4 corners. The rear tires just aren't getting a lot of heat into them, so I'm not even maximizing my grip just yet.

I dont have much trouble spinning my yokohama advan 235/45/17 in my KA s14, but they are pretty bald now and I got some cheap 255 40 to put on the rears next week.

What do you guys think about 255/40 or 245/40's on 17x9 24mm cobra rims, for the rears of a stock s14?

thanks in advance.

well kim, since your car is pretty much stock,i dont think you'll need any wider than a 245 for sure. It'll look awesome, what are you running in the front?
