ls swap question.
Ill get right to the point.
sikky kit 1600$ comes with oil pan drive shaft motor mounts and tranny mounts headers hooker kit needs bushings and driveshaftt, its 400$ less but it seems like you have to spend 400$ to get the same parts that the other kit comes with...? what drive shaft can you use for the hooker kit? |

I'd steer clear of the mentioned products and go Check out fueled racing. It's what I've used. Everyone else i know had issues with other kits.

Custom DS usually range between $300-450 from what I gather. I will say that structurally the SIKKY oil pan is as close to the GM pan design. Allegedly the design increases bottom end stength/rigidity due to the design. Not sure if it matters to you just thought I would share the info.

Just curious why go with a kit that cost $400 less just to spend the same amount and have to order custom d/s and measure for yourself. Not saying you would get the measurements wrong, but why not go with the complete kit? I don't have an LS so I'm not sure if one kit is better than the other for any reasons, just curious.

The 1600 sikky kit does not come with headers. The 1200 hooker kit comes with headers and will work with the sikky driveshaft.

I used a Sikky Kit on a G35 LSx swap and was not impressed with the quality on the oil pan. There were some issues with the bolt holes being too close to the side of the pan and rubbing to get them tightened. Daft Innovations S13 kit I had back in 2009 was really good if you don't mind the crossmember mod. I have never owned a Hooker kit but I would go that route of Fueled if I were to do it today. In my personal opinion Sikky is over priced and does not include the headers.
