I'm going to the parade too!!!
I'm going to be leaving Riverside at 6am. Do you guys think that is too late?!?!? We can probably get to LA around 7:30am and be stuck in traffic for parking. I expect to be out of my car by 8am and in line to get into the Coliseum. Does that sound unrealistic??

Anyone remember when shit like this used to happen?
Why can't we have a Kobe vs. LeBron video game?

I just watched the parade replay, since I couldn't go. Parade and rally was awesome,
especially the crowd response to the players. Laker fans set a new NBA championship merchandise record this season, shattering Boston's record last year... by doubling it. Fuck Boston. |

It is actually kinda sad, Simoun.
There are a few sects of fans among the population who you just can't fucking tell ANYTHING. NY Yankees, first and foremost. Dallas Cowboys Duke Basketball Los Angeles Lakers Boston Celtics Yes, that list was in order. My blog has gained me MAJOR heat this week, but the rest of the "basketball in general before my favorite team truth" kept me from having to face it like a fanboy. My friends DETEST the Lakers, but must concede when I call a spade a spade. Yes, I still have the #8 Kobe Bryant Swingman over there in the closet, and I have REFUSED to put it on my back for like 2 solid seasons.

The parade was INSANE!
I left Riverside around 5:30 and got there around 7:15. Finally parked by 7:45ish and got in line which already was circling the parking lot. They opened the gates around 9:10 and the line moved in pretty quick. I was in my seat by 9:30. Fortunately I got a seat in the very very very last row (great view still) of the entire coliseum under the shade and was nice and cool the entire day!! Rally was cool but the fucking stoners smoking a joint every 15 minutes got me high on contact and I ended up with a major headache. Traffic was even worse than I expected and I expected a LOT of it. Also, leaving the Coliseum, walking to the parking lot, I have never ever seen so many people together at once. It was crazy. It also took me one FULL hour to get ON the freeway. So, all in all, It was a fun day but the traffic made it not worth going again. From my seat... right before the parade started As people started leaving.. This was pretty cool... a couple guys brought out the BLACK MAMBAAA~!

No fanboy photoshops (since I suck at PS), I got that on MSN this afternoon, saved and rehosted...
Anyway. Does ANYONE think that Memphis will be worth some attention once they have Rudy Gay, OJ Mayo and Hasheem Thabit?

As it were though, it is a foregone conclusion that Blake Griffin is #1, and Memphis could benefit from taking the next best big in the draft.

Knicks inquire about Houston's McGrady - Sports Rumors - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
McGrady in NY? Laugh if you want, but it is the next cog in the LeBron sweepstakes... This would be shipping 2 guaranteed contracts out, in exchange for one expiring one. Draft Steph Curry, bite your lip and hold on for another lottery season. Cleveland will not win it all next year, so LeBron will be splitsville. McGrady will play with all he has, as it is a contract year. He will either get you a 9-10 seed or self destruct under his own overexertion. Now the season is over. You got Starbury off the books last year, 2 more guaranteeds off the books at the beginning of this year and BOOM, you do NOT have any commitment to Lady McGrady, so that is another 23 MILLION off the books. Go after LeBron AND Chris Bosh, instant contendership, having blown the team up to draft a hot-shooting guard and sign as free agents a big man and LeBron. Let's just hope LeBron grows up over this summer and next season. Dear Zilvia, My birthday is next Wednesday and I would promise banstick immunity for a short period of time to anyone who finds it on their heart(s) to make this in a 3xl show to my front door. Photographs wearing it on July 4th WOULD be forthcoming.
