Production Numbers For Rare 240sx Colors
Reference Chart:
I figure some people will get a kick out of the production number for some of the rare 240sx colors. I was able to view the VIN database file with a text editor and searched how many instances of each paint code showed up for the 240sx. It might not be 100% accurate, but I'm confident these numbers are 99% accurate. S13 Rare Colors: Purple Gray Pearl (#LK0): 47 (31 fastbacks, 16 coupes) Lavender Frost Metallic (#LG1): 234 Creamy Yellow Two-Tone (#5G8): 686 Silver Green Pearl (#FG0): 784 Aspen White Pearl (#WK0): 1193 Sapphire Blue (#TK3): 1319 Silver Green Two-Tone (#5G7): 2286 S13 Convertible Colors: Cherry Red Pearl (#AH3): 482 Super Black (#KH3): 2376 Super White (#326): 2590 Aztec Red (#AG2): 2617 S14 Rare Colors: Deep Fuschia (#LS1): 105 Starfire Blue (#BN6): 202 Mediterranean Blue (#BP3): 482 Silver Moss (#KR5): 549 Cobalt Green Pearl (#DN1): 1270 Concord Gray (#LN1): 2326 S15 Rare Colors: Super White (#326): 123 Aqua Silver Metallic (#BN5): 198 Sonic Silver (#KR4): 254 Signal Red (#AR2): 574 Lightning Yellow (#EV1): 660 Ultra Red (#AJ4): 838 Super Black (#KH3): 2407 S15 (Non-Rare) Colors: Brilliant Blue (#TV3): 5574 Pewter (#WV2): 9505 Aspen White Pearl (#WK0): 13398 For all of the other colors I have not listed, they have greater than 3000 units and I would not deem them rare. Only ones I've seen were a creamy yellow two-tone and a starfire blue s14. Starfire is by far one of the greatest colors I've ever seen on an schassis. The owner didn't even know what he had but I made sure to let him know to leave the paint alone. lol

I see Deep Fushia S14s all over the place. Maybe that number is the amount of cars without that paint code.
I have been working on buying one for my buddy who is deployed and I have gone to look at 3 that are that color. I doubt they are original but it seems to be a popular repaint, bet it was done for wives and gfs and such.

Unfortunately, yours isn't original. Originals are worth more than the typical repaint. Just like if I repainted my silver coupe to sea-foam green two tone, it ain't worth more than an original.

If you can get the VIN# I can look it up... #000507 is a champagne gold coupe.

Forgot I also cut up a lavender frost car about 4 years ago that was a total rot box. I may still have a quarter panel off it lol.
Are these numbers including Canada aswell? |

I know where at TH1 is at. This one has the dark blue interior as well. The paint has deteriorated so bad it almost looks black now.

"Production Numbers For Rare 240sx Colors" i can see an OEM 240sx paint thread being useful, which would work with the scenario you threw out. but this? not very useful. |

You seem to not understand my scenario. Say someone has one of these cars, they think it is not rare and want to paint it pink, they happen across this thread, see it is very rare and decide to repaint it Midnight blue(the stock color) instead of pink because there are only 35 of them. Your argument is again invalid.

It is to make people who have nothing else going on with their car except its old weathered paint that nobody wanted when the car was new so Nissan only produced a limited number to still have something to feel special about.
