I did not really believe in ghosts before that so I wasn't really afraid. At first I figured there was some explanation and that the light was glare from a car passing by and the shaking was somehow me.

But one night it got bad...

I could clearly see this orb of light literally flying around my room. It would appear for a second or two and be gone. This was no car headlight, my window was covered and the door was shut. I remember thinking okay lets see where this goes...

So I'm just laying there and my bed starts slowly shaking like it normally did and I start thinking really? If this is a ghost what is the purpose in shaking my bed? Just then it starts getting crazier... the headboard starts pounding into the wall and I jump out of the bed close the door and laid on the couch. Could not fall asleep after that.

This continued to happen randomly for about two months and I'd always just go lay on the couch unable to sleep until the sun came up.

Fuck ghosts.

i think it could be a fun, and or scary experience..about those techniques, they kinda freak me out make me think of satanic shit like live sacrifice...and every time i see any ritual, yes on tv bad things happen im not sure im a believer, but just by the chance something like that could happen F that!!!

before we do anything I think we all need to meet up somewhere to make sure we are all on the same page. (not saying we arent) but just to be sure.

and yeah.. media and t.v. dont really help much...if its not first hand...... then who knows what editing went on.... ive had people approach me saying I should try this and they will show me how... and im liike.... uhhhh no thanks.

It just went away on it's own. Have not seen anything unusual since. This was almost ten years ago and I'm in the same house today.

I looked into the "white orb" online after this all happened and apparently it is fairly common. I've seen footage online of these white orbs and it is exactly what I saw.

There is no doubt in my mind that ghosts do exist. I just wish I had a video camera at the time so I could have recorded this stuff.

^^^i hear you. its rare to have a camera at the right time. seeing orbs is one thing but having them on film is hard because there is a way to for 99% of people to be able to shoot it down....

lol. yeah. we will figure it out... where and when and stuff later on.... ill probably be bringing my camera. maybe a voice recorder. ive been meaning to order an emf meter off the internet for like $20....

but I mean im not saying you come... you will see ghosts... doesnt work like that... all that needs to really be brought is common sense, respect, and an open mind.

none yet, though it would be swell if a ghost could just go to a designated area with a camera and a nice background and some good lighting...but idk there camera shy.
but yea id either brake the cam or not get a single pic, and even if i got one people could just say its editing, so im looking to prove real or no to me.

yeh hopefully it doesnt get shitted on... but yeh I know what u mean don't worry about it im not immature/naive or crazy of any sort lol but yeh that seems like a good idea. but yeh I think itll be hard to bring out a camera when ur just getting kinda freaked out. The first thing anybody will do is look and then somehow want to get away from it. I have an hd camcorder and my friend will want to come along if anything. Looking for ghosts rarely works...you just have to be at the right place at the right time and hope your film picks something up.

idk where turnbull is... but yeah. we will discuss that at the meeting.. but usually i dont run. just stay, be curious and talk, or attempt to interact. just stay calm. no need to literally run unless somehow someone is being hurt. but nobody is forced to stay if they are no longer comfortable at any time. they are more than welcome to go back to the meeting place

Turnbull stories i would say that a short percentage of them are very true..
A lot of people that go up there are high or drunk, i believe that's where most stories come from..
I use to be on that road every night for about 4 years and ive only seen one strange thing. Doing a downhill run on the second shakain and at the corner of my eye it looked like there was a man hanging from a tree by his neck. I finished my run still trying to process if what i saw was real. I turned back and there was nothing.
I read online on some website that many people have seen that guy hanging there because sometime ago someone actually hung themselve there..

Other than that nothing weird except for bums walking through the canyon at 3 or 4 am.

I'm surprised none of you guys brought up using some sort of voice recorder to try and get some EVPs or something.

My wife got a digital recorder and we were going to go to her mom's house to do some EVPs one of these days, but there's always people and dogs in the house, so doing an EVP there will be next to impossible when everyone's home, but something's definitely there in that house.

Like, we'd turn off the lights in a room and leave, and then when we go back to the room later, the lights will be on, and we'd ask if anyone turned the lights back on or anything, and everyone would say no. Could be they turned the lights on but don't remember doing it, or something else, so it's not really concrete evidence there.

But I did see something weird when I was there one night. We were sitting in the sitting room talking, and since there are 2 couches in that room, facing each other, I was on one couch and I think my wife was on the other or something, and we were talking.

I turned around to look at something, and when I turned my head back to look at my wife, just by the statue thing behind her, I thought I saw a figure, like a woman, all in white in a misty form, just standing there, so I moved my head to look past my wife and see if I see it anymore, but nope, it's gone.

It was just for that one split second that I saw it.

So then I tried to recreate the head turn that I did just before, nope, didn't recreate it.

I even tried getting up and moving around to see if it was some light reflection or refraction that caused what I saw, but I couldn't reproduce it, so I chalked it down to a personal experience that was a bit odd and could not be explained.


Also.

This happened at this house that I'm in now, and it happened within the week that my dad's dad passed away.

Right around 5am on the 7th day after his passing, the smoke detector alarm went off in the hallway just outside of my parents' room, and I was all the way over on the other side of the house. Just before that happened, I got up to go pee, and in my room at the time there was a night light, but the light wasn't giving off that orange halogen night light color, it was greenish. I saw that green when I got up to go pee, and when I came back from the bathroom too.

In Chinese folklore, I think it was said that the ghost of someone close that passes away will come back to visit their family before they go on, a week from the day they pass, and this was like exactly a week.

We checked the battery on the smoke detector, and they were fine. We put a new one on, and the next night, exact same thing, right around 5am, the smoke detector goes off for no reason.

That was years ago, but I *THINK* this happened again recently, and now it's just my wife and I living in this house, and we've moved into my parent's old bedroom, since it's the master bedroom, with our own furniture and bed and stuff, of course.

I can't remember if it was in this house or not, since we did have an issue with smoke detectors at the house we rented just before this house, since the batteries in those were all dead...

Anyway, if this did happen again in this house, I think I remember it happened once... anyway, I remember telling my wife about this, and like we said hi to grandpa or something after that, since now I know if it happened, it was most likely him just dropping by to check on me and stuff, since he hasn't met my wife or anything, so maybe he just dropped by to meet her or something.

Damn I wish I was in Cali to join this ghost hunt. I always wanted to do something like this but could never find the right people or time to start this up with.

As for my experience I swear my room is haunted also, there are times when I leave my light on at night and go and watch some tv in the living room and shit you not I see my light get turned off. Before hand there were times when I would be waken up to something pushing down on my chest and it seemed to be covering my mouth because all that was coming out was muffle sounds. It got so bad that I was sleeping in another room for quite a while lol. They would ask me why i changed rooms but i never said anything. I finally came back to my room but thats a whole other story
