Ok. So we are building up a very nice S13.

It belongs to a forum member here, who needs no introduction, so I will let him chime in if he wants.

This car was originally a socal wangan car from what I was told. It had allready been caged, painted, seam welded, and some other fun stuff.

We will be completing the car with some very nice parts, and some custom fabricated parts.

The theme of this car is: S13 Reliable track car with mild power.

Here are some beginning shots. Hope you guys stay tuned.

Here it is temp mounted. It will have an actual stainless bracket tig welded on.

Rocker arm stoppers, and more fun things coming soon.

Wow... Art's old S13...
That car was put together very well about 2 years ago...

Super clean car that started life as a street drag racer...
It's nice to see it's turning into a track car as it should...

I thought this was THE coolest car when it was first being assembled back in 2005/6.
Good to see it is still around and under the tuning of Luke nonetheless.

Yes... The original builder of the car was a Honda guy... He had a K20 CRX and an ITB S2000...

Im just happy it used to have a stack gauge cluster.

The car has the cage attached to the shock towers. But in your pics it does not. Wonder what the deal is with that?

As for the cage. It is not really practical to have the door bars that high for a drift/ street car, and for the rear section that goes to the "frame rails" it is a bit way excessive.

Yeah the original owner of the car was a cool guy but it was like he wanted a pat on the back because he spent like 20 thousand dollars in parts and was only making 383 hp with such a huge turbo, and his unpainted carbon fiber parts like he was some 240 innovator.

Couldn't stand "that" douchebag.

edit: and to add insult to injury apparently he didn't appreciate my opinion of his awesome attitude and has since sent me an e-thug throwdown invite on myspace. LOL!

The Ksport ebrake setup looks to be of great quality. I wish these were around when I was building my Fd.

My future cars will all have these ksport ebrake setups. There is even a latch so you can use it as a parking brake.

seibon doors. How did I miss my own build thread?

edit: they fit really really well and the windows go up and down no problem. The handles cant be used because they hit the cage but its no big deal. Also they did crack arround the rear view mirrors due to vibration I believe, Ill have to get lighter mirrors for later.

that cage is extensive!!!!!! is all that roof bracing really necessary? seems like it would just add a lot of weight up high without adding a whole lot of reinforcement....

what do you think luke?
