i know that the sohc and dohc tranny are the same but are the lower tranny harness the same? i got an 89 tranny with a 93 motor and i just got my dohc vss so i just wanna know if its just a plug and play thingy?

VSS is the same from 89-94.

The lower harness is different since the alternator and power steering pump are on opposite sides. You can shorten the alternator wiring or use a DOHC harness.

so ur saying i have to swap out for the dohc harness..can i just change the vss? my speedometer doesnt work also

No just extend the wires, 95+ VSS are different you shouldent have a problem.

ok so just extend the wire from the vss so it can connect to where ever its going to right
