1990 240sx Transmission issue

So I just recently bought a 90 240sx with AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SOHC ka24e.
150K miles all stock. So what I've noticed is when I take off and second gear kicks in usual its a very smooth shift but with mine there's a hard kick/pulling feeling. All the other gears go in smooth. So my question is what can it be?
could it be my tranny, torque converter going bad? I also noticed I need to replace motor mounts. I would assume if it was pulling when shifting cause if motor mounts it would kick/pull in all gears. Any thoughts please let me know.
Thanks

sounds like the trans is damaged (clutch packs, etc) try putting some lucas auto trans treatment in it, it might help.

Have you considered a 5 speed transmission conversion?
