2000 C5 Corvette (Base)
Head/Cam/Bolt On, 440ish whp LSx Basic suspension upgrades 9" wide and 10" wide CCWs, and coresponding tires. Too easy.

Big power (300 in the lowest base stock, 500 in the latest C6 Z06 (no zr1)...not to mention the instant torque) Lightweight (all hover around 3000-3300 lbs) Great Handling (a set of tires, and it will outperform a coilover'd basic suspension s chasis) RWD (the only way to fly) Big Tire Capable (yea, you can fit big boy rubber on them) Better yet, you can find base c5's for stupid low prices... But hey, who am I...I don't do HPDE or anything .....

and the op said if we were to have 50k..... also just think of a one lane downhill touge pass..... that thing will get smoke by a corolla.... for example, a supra TT wouldn't do good in one lane touge, but

Yeah, thats talkin 400hp vs 120hp. Work the 86 up to higher power and that would show it a good race. Also it depends on what kinda road. The mountain road we used to race on in Flagstaff was super intense and there were only very short straights so a low hp 86 would come veeeery close to a high hp corvette

1: Play Video Games all the time, think superstreet is the best, and drive a stock Altima 2: Hang out on forums all day and think postcount = know it all 3: Dumbass A Corolla, even in modified form, would have a hard (read: near impossible) time even keeping up with a Base beat the shit ls1 Automatic Vette, with decent tires. Instead of blabbing off about something you have zero clue about, why not get out from behind your keyboard, goto a local HPDE, AutoX, and or Race and see what these cars actually can do. Let me assure you, you will be hard pressed to find many Corollas out there. Why even bother with a Corolla anyway when you can have a Miata? Quote:
