D-Wade just made the only point worth making.
Dallas was #2 in payroll this year, only to the Lakers. Cuban runs the organization like a fan, and now that he learned to shut his mouth, and it has worked.

Heat looked like amateurs a lot of the time in this series. I wanted them to win but hey, nothing you can do. I feel like Wade/LeBron can't both shine at the same time and that hurts them because LeBron plays his best with the ball in his hands not when he is watching Wade with the ball in his hands, threw LeBron off pretty bad I think, he looked pretty bad this series.

Hey, at least I don't have to stay up past my bedtime on tuesday!
GG Dallas. No excuses. No whining. A fun year down the drain, I enjoyed every bit of this season, watching the Heat fall apart the last few games wasn't great but hey, win some lose some! Dallas got one back from us. Seriously I think Cleveland can get over it now and the rest of the Nation included, Heat 'got what they deserved' in your eyes, let it go. We aren't still posting crap about the Lakers epic fail, seriously, have your fun, then lets move on. Going to have to get more into college hoops if this lock out crap lasts too long. Phlip: No tears from me man, I'm not Bosh. It was fun, see you next season. Also notice I didn't rub it in anyone's face when their team was eliminated, you included...Just saying. |

Get the fuck over it. Who cares if people didn't rub it in our faces the Lakers lost. I got over the elimination 5 minutes before Game 4 ended. Losing to the newly crowned champions made the loss easier for us to handle. LA couldn't win it every year.
As for people making fun of the Heat, they have EVERY RIGHT to. If you don't want to see pictures and comments about it, get the fuck out of this thread then. You say 'let it go' when most Miami fans felt like they were entitled to the trophy this year just because they got the Big 3 assembled. But now after losing, you don't want people to make fun of you guys? Fuck off asshats. If you can't handle the heat (pun intended) when your team loses, grow some balls. I am going to enjoy every single fucking minute of LeBron James' and the Heat's meltdown and failure... including their fans. Call me a hater. Call me biased. I don't care. Seeing LBJ's face when the game was winding down was truly enjoyable. Today is also National LeBron James Day. Everyone gets to leave work 12 minutes early. Everyone pick these up at your nearest Miami Macy's! |

Being humble is one thing, but asking a sports fan not to talk shit is straight up un-sportsman like.
Talking shit is part of being a fan. How fucking snooty of you.

I been waiting some months to pick this one apart... When one factors in that Miami signed the “Big 2.5,” it was for, what 5-6 years?, a contract that will take them all to their 13th seasons in the league at the ages of 32 (Lebron), 33 (Bosh) and 35 (Wade), take a year if necessary. While time spent on lesser teams or as role players might allow for longer careers, that amount of time as the offensive focal points WILL serve to leave the three of them on the downside of their careers. So the “built to win now” aesthetic becomes more apparent, especially when you consider that there is a 22 year-old MVP Point Guard still building his story, and a couple of Power Forwards out West that have fast thrust their names into discussion of the best at their positions (yes, I am talking Kevin Love and Blake Griffin). So I ask, IS this Miami team built to win “many (more than 3) championships,” or will the changes the league – and their conference most especially – has had to make to remain competitive with their coup of last summer lessen that number? The Knicks are a coach away, and all the Bulls need is time, and that time could be as soon as next year. Right now, despite what just happened this week, the balance of power is in the East, as the talent at the very top of the West – while still worthy of contender status – has aged, and the young teams (OKC, and now Memphis) still lack experience that matters. The “next” teams of interest, if only because of the aforementioned Love and Griffin, are poorly-run organizations and I am more inclined to bet against than for them. I bet the both of them finish their careers elsewhere, and make note that Blake is from OKC and Kevin Love's fam is from LA (see what I did there? I just moved Blake to the Thunder and K-Love to the Lakers). Better hope BOTH teams make the playoffs higher than a 7 seed to think of keeping them. So no, Miami is NOT built for "not 5, not 6, not 7..." championships. I will be genuinely surprised if they can hold it together for three. I can concede 2, but more than that doesn't seem realistic to me.

the LeBron thing was a bonus, and it MAY have been first, but still. Kidd and Dirk got rings, and Dirk got his getback against Miami for that "Cuban Whistle Crisis" debacle.

That was the response I predicted since you have no room to talk.

So what's the excuse for LeBron James now? The last couple years was that because his teammates sucked, which was not true, as Cleveland management built that team specifically for him. The fact of the matter is that he is not as great as people claim him to be, and that he disappears during the biggest games of his career, period. Heat fans, stop being so fucking butthurt over a little trashtalk. This is fucking sports, all part of the fucking game you fucking asscracks. Check your stats? Sure. In the Finals, you had 19 points total in the 4th quarter of the 6 games. ....while we're on the subject of trashtalk, I'll throw in some Laker ones too. KOBE RAPE!! KOBE RAPE RAPE RAPE COLORADO RAPE KOBE WHITE GIRL RAPE Trashtalk is all part of the game. Grow a pair if you can't handle it. Ok, I;m done and am off to work to save some lives. |

Know what the difference is between me and you?
My team will be in the Finals next year. Broke ass Bums, no coach, no star, no bench your franchise should transfer to the D league, maybe you can win there. Nobe Bryant and Pau Gasoft. Have fun with that shit |

hey, I'll go into the archives and play too...
"Kobe takes a million shots a night!" "rape(*)" "the Lakers lost to Detroit, after all the Kobe heroics after he, you know... RAPED(*) that girl" "Kobe threw his teammates under the bus, and he raped(*) a girl in the ass" *singing* "When I say Kobe, you say rape, 'Kobe!' (rape!)(*) Kobe! (rape!)(*) Kobe (rape!)(*), Kobe, Kobe (rape, rape!), Kobe Kobe Kobe Kobe (rape, rape rape rape rape!)(****)" (*) = "alleged," as the legal outcome is not guilt, and the common sense answer is that the broad was money hungry and fucking crazy. That shoe feels quite awkward when placed on the other foot, no? I call LeBron the poor sport and petulant spoiled brat that he has always shown himself to be, then note that the very tenor of that behavior has apparently been imparted on his new teammates and all of a sudden comes this moment that shit is wrong? And to be totally fair:

Despite having been members for most of the time, only one of these new Heat superfans have been bothered to say so in any of the prior NBA threads. I salute Gnnr for riding for his team even before they drew on a ton of frontrunners, homers and people who dislike them. [09-10] [08-09] [07-08]
