Thats wierd the tranny blew? What exactly do you mean blew? Does it go into any gears? So let me get this straight, you are supposed to be driving the car from Florida to Washington and got stuck?
I mean I wish I could be of help, the only thing we could do here is help diagnose whats wrong with it, but we would need more details on what it will not do or what noises it makes etc. Try posting in the regional section as well |

Oh shit, you bought Beast Mode's car? And you were planning on driving it from the southeast corner of the US to the northwest that slammed?
Props for bravery.

You made three threads on this?
Hit up craigslist and post up a WTB thread. What's so hard about that? Best thing would have been to make a thread in the regional section.

Can you double clutch it into gear? Perhaps your master cylinder shit out or your clutch slave. Both super simple fixes that cost collectively 30$ to repair both. |

What happens when you push the clutch down? Does the pedal stay on the floor? Does it grind trying to go into every gear? If its grinding, check out the little rod connected to the clutch pedal, and adjust it so the rod is more unthreaded than threaded in, with more of the rod towards the front of the car than past where it connects to the pedal at.

I thought i was crazy but you are even crazier then me. I feel you man, i was in that situation before worse because i didn't have cell phone (it ran out of battery) and no internet. I took my car from Norcal to Socal in my shitty CRX, on the way back the alternator died. No one could help me, it was 3 am, i didn't know any one around there. What i did was i looked up a yellow book on some public phone booth. I looked for a tow truck numbers and shops close by (same area code) then i started to call them up as soon as it hit 8am. You'll be okay man. You don't really need to go to japworks, just go to some shop close by and get another Ka tranny.
As of right now, just try to get some rest, you have a long way home so rest as much as you can, deal with this in the morning.

What won't engage in any gear? Can you get it in gear or does it just grind? Can you get it in gear with the car off? How is the clutch? If the clutch is good, my next guess would be the synchros, in which case you could go way back when, before they had synchros and double-clutch. No F&F intended.
