Where Does This Wire Go??? **PICS INCLUDED**

I was repositioning my intercooler piping today and i was just about to call the job complete when i found this wire that was not connected to anything. I didnt take it off, so i dont know where it goes or what it is for. The car is a 95 240sx KA24DE, the wire is yellow with a green stripe. Can someone tell me what it is and where it is supposed to go? 1000 points if someone had a picture of where it went lol Thanks!

hmmm thats what i thought it might be originally but mine doesnt look like it has a spot for it to plug into??... Heres a pic of what i have, what happens if this is unpluged? I'm wondering if i was ever plugged in, i have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge so i am thinking the original sensor may have been ditched in favor of the aftermarket sending unit?

this is an rb right? it looks like that oil pressur sensor you have is from rb anyways, but the lug looks like an sr or ka. it seems like it was already unplugged when you started the job

That's an aftermarket sender on the car, OE Z32/RB senders are 2prong plastic connectors. The plug you have is for the OE pressure switch, just cut it off and tape it back somewhere, you don't need it.

russ, you definately know 240's TOO well when you can pick-out individual wires from a wire-line-up.

that wire is for the low oil pressure warning lamp. VDO has a sensor that has dual outputs, one for the gauge and one for the warning lamp. thats what i used back in the day.
