Sadly of right now, no. I am still waiting on the flange from the machine shop for the oil pan. I'm getting ready to graduate on the 5th so I have been doing a lot with school to get everything taken care of.
The guy doing my flange is doing it as a side project and he is swamped currently. So alas I wait.

pm?
i was going to try and pm you, but like youve said before, it takes you to the other yoshi's profile. im definitely interested in one of these oil pan flanges. im currently working on putting a vk in a 300zx. i know you said hes busy with other things now, and thats fine. its not like this is a speedy process anyways. haha. i could send him some money for one, or you, and you could just ask him to make a couple for you, or something like that, if he could. shoot me a pm, if you would.

Well I'll talk to him and see if he can't get motivated to work on it. He works out of his shed in his back yard and does a lot of custom machine work for American Powertrain and is constantly swamped. I would be happy to have him make a couple once I know they are good.

Don't worry, it's not dead. I graduated got a job and had to move states. The car is at my shop in Tennessee and I moved to Alabama. I'm looking for a shop down here to rent so I can move the car down here. The plans have changed for the better for this car. Be patient and I there will be some very good updates once I get a shop down here.

Thanks guys.
I moved into a house here in Alabama with a 2 car garage so I brought my daily driver which is a 1994 Miata "r package" and my other little project which is a 1985 RX7 lovingly titled the "Hooptie". Since I couldn't work on my S13 I have been fooling around with the hooptie. Here is what I have been up to... Here is what it looked like when I got it: The car was originally a 12a car but had a rebuilt street ported 13b swapped in with a holly 465 carb that I'm still trying to get to run right. So I got some adapters to run my wheels but the wheel studs stuck out past the adapters so I had to do some grinding then reinforcement: Which let me do this: So the suspension was feeling kind of old so I got some new struts and bushings and got to work: Then one night some alcohol and spray paint got mixed and this happened: Then I moved: I got bored one day and decided to clean up some of the rusty spots and started with the radiator duct: Which expanded to the front piece and the vent piece in front of the windshield: Then the Hooptie got naked cuz it heard the bishes love it: And more painting happened: Then I test fit the parts to see what they would look like. Nothing bolted here: Then I took the parts back off and set them in a pile of shiny: Then went back to painting: Stripping the door aka pita: And painted hood: Then 100+ degree weather hit and I had to wait for it to cool down, so that is where I am at with that... THEN.... This is coming towards the end of the week: So that combined with moving and new job is why updates are slow on this thread...

i really like the older z's. it seems like every build thread i open has one as a daily. i need to find one to modify with some jdm styling for a daily.
who made the itb's on the other motor? i was looking around online the other day and found a set for my vq on my G. it was the first set i had seen. can you give me some more input on yours please like who made them and if they offer them for other engines. |

@funnyscreenname: The ITB's I was using from a hyabusa. Extrudabody makes a bunch of itbs. I would look into them.
@tle1993: Yeah there is a back story to that lol I pick up the z thursday.

you won't need to if you use/make a custom manifold. If you run tall itb's, supercharger, or stock manifold you will need to cut the hood.

I may come out. I'm pretty busy this weekend. Tomorrow is the drift event in Huntsville, sadly I won't be driving because the rx7 is still apart then I'm taking the HMA "race car" to an auto-x on Sunday and I gotta clean my house and pack because Monday I leave for Ohio for some training.

The build is still going, just been on hold. I moved to a different state in June, finally found a new shop about a month ago, signed the lease last weekend. Now I'm in the process of moving the car down here. the build will pick up here in a bit.

Sadly no... The machine shop disappeared with my oil pan.
I did get my motor and Trans brought down to my new shop and dipped the car off at my parents until i can move it down here. So hopefully in a month our two after i can get a truck and trailer I'll be able to get it down here and get the ball rolling again.
