====ka-t died and won't start==== help please!!
I need help with my ka-t, I have searched for hours but I can't seem to find the answer. If there is a thread I have missed please point me in the right direction. So I was driving and came to a stop at a red light and when the light changed I tried to go but the car seemed like it had no power and only went up to 1000 RPMs then it just died. I tried starting it but it wouldn't start it would only crank. I checked for vacuum leak and checked for fuel, I was getting fuel and there wasn't a leak. I then checked for spark first at the coil by disconnecting the wire from the dizzy and putting it to a nut to ground it. I did get a spark but when I took out a plug and connected it to a plug wire and tried it against a nut it didn't spark. I thought maybe the coil was going bad so I bought a new one but it didn't solve the problem. I also checked the ecu for codes but all it gave me was 55 which means there isnt anything wrong. Im just really confused. Before the car died my idle would bounce up and down from 400 to 1000 for the past day or two. My spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor are all only about 3 months old so I doubt it's is any of those. Im thinking the dizzy took a shit on me but im not sure and i dont want yo buy a new one just to find out thats not the problem. PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OR CAN HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.
By the way it is a s13 ka24de Mods: Rebuilt s13 ka Supertech pitons and rings New timing kit New cap and rotor New plug wires New plugs 255 pump Enthalpy tune for t25, z32 maf, sr side mount There's more that I'm missing just can't think right now. I didn't have time to check the rotor and cap which I'm going to check tomorrow. If there is anything else I should check with the procedures on how to check it please let me know. Thank you.

Check the basics. Make sure you have correct fuel pressure at the rail.
Make sure your injectors are firing in time with the timing light. Make sure you have spark. Make sure you have compression. When you have validated all those things, THEN come back and post WITH NUMBERS. (Ie compression, what your timing is set at, how many psi of fuel press) |

I believe I have fuel pressure because I can hear my pump priming. It isn't a fuel problem because when I pull my plug to see if it gets spark I can smell fuel in that cylinder. I can also here my injectors clicking when I try to start it. I just can't get spark at the the plugs but I can at the coil. I checked my compression before I went turbo 2 weeks ago and it was 175 on all cylinders. I will check it again. Would any of this things cause me to not get spark at the plugs? Also thank you for the reply.

check the distributor rotor..... we just had exact problem on our ka_t build less than a month ago.... a 3 week old oreiley rotor failed and was arcing directly to ground due to a crack in the plastic. even if it looks ok pull it completely off and inspect it.... i bet u"ll find the problem. as we had coil spark, but nothing to plugs.... and its cheap enough to just buy another one.... replace the cap and rotor with oem nissan when u can or it will happen again
if u cant figure it out pm me, I'm local

Well there's your problem. If you get spark at the coil but not at each individual cable entering the cylinders, then the problem in between there. Cap, rotor, CAS, or the entire distributor assembly can be faulty. This happened to me once. I used a friends dizzy and my car turned right on.
