The sedan to end all sedans... Too bad they're not sold in the States.

PS- I'm aware this is about what can be bought in the US. Chasers are just so good.

alternative of IS300 and G35 sedan, IS250 comes with 6 speed manual but underpowered.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you're just looking at Japanese cars?

If not, I'd look at either a BMW 325i or 330i. You can pick them up for nearly nothing, and there is extensive aftermarket for them if you know where to look. Some stuff is on the pricey side, but it's that way with anything newer. I know my 325ci is plenty fun sideways and I'd be building that to slide if I didn't owe money on it.

IS300 manual seems to be the only decent option.

for the 10k an is3 would cost you could look on clublexus for an already swapped first gen gs300.

and somewhat off topic, does anyone have a link to information about a manual swap for a first gen gs3?

i can't find crap.

and i don't mean gte swaps, just manual swaps.

I've seen Is3's that were manual stock sell for 7k on occasion.

gs3 manual swaps are a pain in the ass. So you're pretty much on your own for that.

i went through this same shit between is300 and g35 sedan. the is seems to cost a bit more to get it looking right, but it will perform better for less money. the g can look good with just coils, a lip, and wheels, but it'll take a ton more to make it handle like a much lighter car, at which point you might as well have a coupe anyway... if i were you i'd keep the s13 for track and replace your "impractical two seater" with a sedan.

I still have to know if anyone knows if the g35 sedan 6spd is pretty much identical to drifting a 350z/g35 coupe?

well it's got the same wheels base as the coupe and weighs about the same... so yeah, pretty much identical to the coupe. 200lbs more and 8 inches longer than the z though.

Sorry, Evos aren't RWD.

I wish Chasers were available here in the states.. sigh. One of my favoritesss.

My buddy just got an IS300 with 70k miles for 8k from the original owner. Has a few mods here and there, but no problems at all.

I'd say go for the IS300, good deals pop up once in a while. Just a matter of patience!
