Just watched Azumi, Shinjuku Incident, and Returner the last few days (because of this thread). I've seen fighter in the wind, that was good from what I remember. Next up is Suicide Club.
Azumi - Hottie, pretty typical storyline but with some interesting twists and a good plot. Well executed and overall movie. Made me sad in a lot of parts. Shinjuku Incident - Jackie Chan, as usual pretty decent movie. Very yakuza/mafia oriented. Could have used a lot more Jackie Chan-type stunts and fighting though. Overall I was disappointed at the fight scenes, but I liked the storyline of the whole Chinese immigrant thing. Returner - Pretty badass, cool looking guy (wish I looked like him). Kinda weird, but a good movie overall. Don't know how to explain this one, I guess your typical badass guy with guns vs. the evil guy with one deadly magnum (I think it was a magnum) and little girl interferes and shows the truth, pisses off the evil guy. |

Ok I just finished watching "Suicide Circle" and I'm hoping I got the wrong one because that movie fucking sucked ass. The worst foreign movie I've ever seen in my life!
Just to be sure, is there a band called "Dessert" in the movie? The movie being posted earlier reads "Suicide Club (Suicide Circle)". The movie I watch was released in 2002. Same movie, or no? |

The guy that directed casshern made goemon, it's a pretty cool movie so far. I say that because I watched the movie and fell asleep on it. But so far it was good. I plan on finishing it sometime soon. I dunno me and my girl watching movie's don't really mix; we fuck most of the time. TMI!
BTW: get goemon on bluray it's the shiznitz. |

Suicide Club - hmmm.... a decent film but not really a ass-kicking one
The Host - good film, Cloverfield redux just saw Audition again over the break, a lot of win in that film has someone mentioned Battle Royal yet? Zaitoichi The Blind Samurai(?) John Woo's 1989 The Killer starring Chow Yun-Fat |

Some other Korean films have already been mentioned. As long as it's a good film I don't care where it's from. |
