About to start week 7. Down around 20 lbs. Losing my gut slowly but surely and definitely getting stronger and better balance. Workouts are kinda long (1Hr for most, 1 1/2 for the Yoga) but it works pretty well.

nice , would you say the plan actually keeps you motivated to continue thru wiht it? i know commitment to stick with it can be a problem with few who get lazy on doin it.

I did it for 180 days. Started with the P90X Lean program and then went onto the Original workout. I was 240lbs and now at a steady 160lbs. You'll be sore as hell from head to toe for 2 weeks to a month, depending on how athletic you are but it does work if you push through the soreness. I didn't even follow the eating guide. Just gave up junk food, soda and fast food. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask away. I'm willing to help as long as your willing to help yourself. P90X WORKS!

I've heard about it and seen the infomercials. It looks really intense and I really want to try it out. I'm just too lazy to do a workout like that at my house. haha I prefer to go to the gym, but I have no doubt that P90x works.

there seems to be a lot of popularity recently with this program, or maybe it's just me? i've had it for a while, always tested the waters, it's brutal. i always seemed to lack a lot of energy due to my eating habits, so i grabbed some protein bars and multivitamins and that did the trick. i'm formally on week 3 only though.

Yea first cpl weeks will be brutal if you've been a lazy shit like I was before I started it. It gets a little easier though. Keeping motivated to stick with it is the hard part.

We need more before/after stories!
I'm not "fat" but have lost my tone from when I played sports in college. I had a buddy download it and try it, but he didn't ever give me any updates, so I know he's not doing it lol. How's the motivation factor for you guys? Did you guys have trouble keeping it up?

Much like the rest of the responses in this Thread, motivation would be the set back for me. I have done aspects of this workout on numerous occasions, but I have not gotten a copy of the complete workout for myself.
I did the "Perfect Push-Up" workout () for a few weeks, and I DID see results from something as simple as that. So I'm certain that a more complete workout routine would do even more for me. Unfortunately, Uncle Sam keeps me running and working out so often, that wearing myself out with the P90X routine, might hurt me in my daily routines with my Marines. Eventually I'd like to attempt this though, so the feedback is greatly appreciated.

started at 261, down to 250 after 3.5 weeks.
Going through the lean program now, then gonna go through the classic, then doubles. I'm sticking to a 2000 calorie/ low fat diet Target weight is 200. I've been a big guy for years. Time for a change of lifestyle |

Funny that this thread came up the day after I decided to do it (I got the torrent d/led already). One of my friends started doing it and she's back to looking how she did when we first got into college. We both just graduated from tech and she's trying to work off those 4 years of heavy drinking/eating. She motivated me to do it.
Hell, I think before I start, which will be in two weeks or so, I'll take a topless photo everyday and make a video of my transformation. I sampled the chest/back video last night and it does def look tough. Currently I am 235 lbs 6 foot 2 inches so hopefully I can get around to 210 or 205. If I cut 200 pounds, which I doubt, that would definitely be amazing.

almost all workouts are under 1hr.
Only the yoga so far is 1.5 hrs The first week is the hardest. You just got to stay motivated and eat enough to keep you going, and still eat healthier. I started doing as much of each exercise as possible, and gradually add on more and more each day. I'm probably more overweight then anyone else here looking into it, so I had/have a lot of trouble with an exercise like this. Its really made me feel so much better after only a short period of time. I can almost get through all the programs now without any breaks. You will definitely not regret trying this program! The key is dedication. I put it on every night, even if I think that I'm too tired to do it, I make it through somehow. |
